NFFC Early Season Draft Results

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Apr 03, 2013 10:09 am

We will create this thread to post many of our early season draft results to whet the appetites of you die-hard fantasy football owners. We definitely want to keep the picks of each individual owner anonymous, so nobody should know who is making the picks for each league. I know we have only one league drafting right now, but since we are going to talk about this on our SiriusXM show I thought it would be good to show the first draft results of the year. Enjoy this one and look for more results once our Draft Champions Leagues get rolling.

That's a rookie placeholder Marc since we won't have the Rookie Player IDs in the system until they are drafted by an NFL team. Don't worry, these guys weren't smoking something when they picked Ricky Williams!!

Ricky Williams is a placeholder for Eddie Lacey. Rookies and freee agents arent in the system. QBs went surprisingly late in this one.

Thanks guys...Sorry for the delayed response. I've been working in the tunnels of NYC with no reception lately. I see some of the rookies coming up this year. Ricky Williams may be the better pick.

The 2nd Draft Champions League started with 9 of the first 10 picks being Running Backs. It's like old school fantasy football again. In fact, I think I'll analyze that topic and make a post soon. But it's unreal how things have changed so much in a year. RBs are back in style again!! 8-)

Looking at this draft I would say there is no clear advantageous place to pick from this year. QBs seemed to go a lot higher in the 2nd DC. I like the top 2 starts AP and Julio, Martin and Thomas. I would take that any day. Cam Kap and Ryan went in the 5th and later in the first DC. Fitzgerald going in the 4th round was surprising to me. With Palmer in ARi now shouldnt he be a late second early 3rd at latest. I think by Aug. Larry will be an early secound rounder for sure.
