i really miss the 14 team national dc contest.

Pete, we do have 14-Team Draft Champions Live events and those are struggling to fill. I understand the sentiment about a tougher challenge in a 14-Team DC, but as you can see we are having a record number of teams in this 12-team format and it's being well accepted. We had only 55 leagues last year in the 14-Team format and we already have more than that now. So while I understand the campaign to ask for the 14-team format back, I don't see it happening. The 12-Team National Championship is here to stay.

Now, we do have openings in the Aug. 30th 14-Team Draft Champions Live and you can do that live or online. We'd love to have any and all of you in that tough, tough format with great, great prizes. Thanks all.

what about some individual 14 team draft champions leagues done online, not part of a bigger national prizepool. paying 1st and 2nd or 1,2,3... for next year?

NOBODY is bigger proponents of the 14-Team format than Tom and myself. In fact, we probably went 14-Team only contests too long in the NFFC. We probably should have battled WCOFF in the 12-team format many years ago rather than just stick with the non-mainstream 14-Team format.

That being said, you can see the success of the 12-team DC now. We already have 55 full leagues and we had 55 full leagues all of last season. Adding another segment of DCs seems more confusing than helpful, and I'm not sure having no big carrot of an overall prize is a big winner. Again, we aren't seeing the type of demand you say is out there for the 14-Team Live Draft Champions Leagues, so that's a telling point for us.

We are committed to this 12-Team DC format and love the future potential of this contest. Sorry.
