Peyton vs. Colts!!

Post by David U Kennedy » Sat Oct 19, 2013 8:29 am

Cant wait for this game. I would start every player in this game. Maybe even Donald Brown. I think he is playing better than that RB they traded for. Denver wins?? This game will bring out the very best in both QBs. Hopefully Pepp Hamilton does the right thing and not try to run on first and second down. I believe Hilton and Wayne need to both go over 120 yards for Indy to have a chance. How many TD passes. I will guess 8-10. Last guy with ball and 2 minutes left wins maybe. The only problem I have with this game is it is on the same time as the Walking Dead. Bummer!!

I think you might be drastically over-rating the Colts here. I don't see the Colts matching them TD for TD. In fact, it could be a blow out.

You might be right. Peyton is fired up and Pepp Hamilton is not an NFL caliber coordinator. Sometimes games become something more than they should though. Old lion vs. young lion!! It don't get any better. I say Luck steps up for the occasion. Colts at home and a decent defense. Hilton and Luck will put together some highlight material. As long as they don't try to feature Trent Richardson. He looks terrible and definitely not a difference maker. If the Jags can stay with the Broncos then anyone can. Colts at home makes a big difference. Who does the crowd root for (its like Archie watchin his boys play)?????

Seems like Pepp is committed to balance...doesn't want Luck taking all the shots he did last year. Not like Peyton's regular season pass happy blowouts formula worked that well for them come playoff time ;) Richardson doesn't look terrible, still hard to bring down and gets yards after contact. The crowd gotta be rooting for their colts, but I guess it depends on who they have on their fantasy teams...

I agree with balance but you need to game plan with the talent you have. Indy's line isn't a good run blocking group. I have to disagree with you on Richardson. His stats are atrocious. Donald Brown has outplayed him. Ugly drops last week. The guy is a slug. Starting too look a lot like Ryan Mathews to me. I know Colts fans will be rooting for their Team but will be a little torn to watch Peyton. He is a God in Indy. Lot of emotions will be going on in that game Sunday Night!! Pepp Hamilton lost last weeks game against SD. Running on 1st and 2nd then asking Luck to throw is bad game plan. Mix it up!!

I have been critical of what I believe was Trent Richardson's lack of speed and big play ability. Richardson's supporters say I've been unfair because the Browns blocking has been so poor. Richardson is averaging 3.4 yards per carry, 105 yards in 31 rushes. His longest run is 10 yards. I wondered what profootballfocus.com thought of Richardson, and I was shocked: They rate him No. 1 in "elusive rating," based on yards gained after his blocking breaks down. They also rate him No. 3 in making tacklers miss. And he's No. 3 in "Yards after contact.

I don't think Indy's line is a good pass blocking group as evidenced by all the hits/sacks Luck took last year...Cherilus was brought in to upgrade their run blocking. I don't think Pepp Hamilton lost last week's game either...they had a ton of dropped catches in that game and if they make them they probably win. I believe his offense is as close to 50-50 pass/run as it gets in today's pass happy NFL so he is mixing it up.

Not sure what everyone else has been watching but the Broncos defense.has been brutal. This will be a high scoring game and the Colts have a legit chance. Last weeks performance vs the awful Jaguars shows they have problems shutting down anyone's passing game. Granted most teams are trying to keep up with Peyton, but the Colts have weapons.

I say when you have a Andrew Luck who is the best QB prospect ever you use his talents. He is the next great QB. Brady, Brees, Rodgers he is in that class of QB. I see poor game planning and T-Rich if u watch him live looks bad. Ask yourself this what would Adrian Peterson do on the Colts? Since when is 3.2 yards a carry elusive?? He should have done something by now its week 7. Maybe a run over 20 yards. McCoy, Bernard they are elusive not T-Rich. I don't care what the numbers say its what does the guy look like in live action. He looks like a poor mans Cedric Benson.
