Re: Trendsetters 2014
Third year is often the one when WRs take a big leap forward. Hilton will be in his third year next season. I agree with Rich that he possesses all the physical tools needed. He came up a bit small all things considered after Wayne got hurt but it's possible much of that was due to the heavy focus he was receiving from opposing defenses. The Colts' running game was generally weak and outside of Hilton there was nobody else defenses had to consistently respect in the passing game.

In 7 games With Wayne Hilton averaged around 11.5 ppg. (28-415-2) in the 9 regular season games w/o Wayne he averaged about 15.5 ppg (55-671-3) Including the playoffs, in the 11 games w/o Wayne he averaged over 18 ppg (72-998-5).Tom Kessenich wrote:Third year is often the one when WRs take a big leap forward. And, if Richardson somehow relearns how to play football in the off season it should only help other parts of the indy offense.

What's that old saying? You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. A picture of Trich shows up when you Google it.
Colts have a lot of work to do. Here is my list.....
1.Colts need to keep Rodgers' head on straight and hope he develops.
2.Then they need to draft WR Jordan Mathews to eventually take over for Wayne
3. Need to fire Pep Hamilton he is not a good NFL OC (This won't happen until during the year or next season. Depends how quickly Irsay realizes the offense needs to go through Luck)
4. Put the ball in Luck's hands
Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is.
Re: Trendsetters 2014
Between everyone, I think you hit my opinion of Hilton on the head.
I doubt I'll be drafting him in many of my redraft leagues, but I think he is perfect for the Draft Champions.
3 games of 26+ points last Regular Season and a 40+ game in the Playoffs is exactly what I'd be looking for in Draft Champions.
His 9 games with less than 10 points is exactly what I am not looking for in a Regular League.
Having Dwayne Allen and Reggie Wayne back should open things up for Hilton, but should also take away some targets.
I'm guessing that will result in more highs and more lows, rather than more steadiness.
Hilton was one of the WRs I was hoping would make it back to me at the 4.5 pick, but Rich snagged him with the 4.4 pick.

Re: Trendsetters 2014
After missing out on a WR at 4.5 and taking Gronk, I was planning on going WR, WR with the 5.10, 6.5 picks.
I got lucky at 5.10 because I forgot Reggie Wayne was still available and was choosing between Blackmon and another WR. Jules then took Wayne at 5.9. If I had taken Blackmon, and then Wayne was taken later, I would have been unhappy.
Blackmon and Harvin were two WRs I had debated about, along with Gronk, at 4.5. Since they were all high risk/high reward players, I decided to go with the TE instead of the WRs. Harvin went at 4.6, so I was lucky to have Blackmon make it back to me at 5.10. Or was I? I guess we'll see.
At 6.5, I was going to take Rookie 1, probably a WR, but Wayne Ellis shot that down for me by taken Rookie 1 at the turn. Then I couldn't decide which WR to go with, so I went with MJD instead. Another risky pick.
Hopefully, I'll get lucky and have one of the WRs that I was considering at 6.5 fall back to me at 7.10.
1.5 - RB - Matt Forte
2.10 - RB - DeMarco Murray
3.10 - WR - Larry Fiztgerald
4.5 - TE - Rob Gronkowski
5.10 - WR - Justin Blackmon
6.5 - RB Maurice Jones-Drew

I agree with most of this . The one thing I believe may be a little different is a few of Hilton's low production games may be a bit higher this year than last due to a higher y/r and a couple more td's. Right now....on February 7th I have Hilton at:
78-1150-7 - WR#16....by August I suspect it may be different.
