My friend is in this draft so I've been watching a bit -- this isn't his team, but I've thought this guy has had a really nice start to the draft. Tons of upside (Patterson, Gerhart, Sankey) mixed with some great deals (Calvin, Cameron). He's added Terrance Williams in the 7th so far as well.

I'm not big on Sankey but that's a real nice start.

Looks like a good start but Patterson has been a early 5th round pick. That's 2 rounds early and not much of a value there unless he explodes. I'm not big on Bell with Blount around. Cameron in the 6th seems a touch early too. Pitta and Rudolph can be had later and will probably be just as good. Sankey as a 3rd RB is very nice.

I was pretty stoked to just get Patterson at 5.9 and Sankey and 6.4...not too mention Gronk in the 3rd right before it was announced he would start the season on time and not on the PUP. :)

It's funny how everyone has different strategies and players targeted. Of the 6 picks listed here I like only 2 of them. Megatron @ 1.7 looks like a great pick and Bell @ 2.6 looks fine as well. The next 4 guys --- nope.....for various reasons.

In last night's OC Gronk went in the first round. I think you have to plan on him missing at least 4 games so the middle 4th might be the best time to pull the trigger. I like Patterson this year but he is being drafted over guys like Fitzgerald, Crabtree, and Cruz. Not what I would do. Patterson at this point is more of a gamble than sure thing.

If it's reported that Gronk is going to dodge the PUP list, I doubt you will have many opportunities to nab him in the middle of round 4. In the DC's I think you have to take some upside picks like Patterson. Round three is probably too soon but I'm very comfortable taking him in the 5th.
