Re: $996
Cleveland by late season will probably be well out of the playoff hunt so maybe they just not play him.
Re: $996
Those who spent huge $$$ on him, are not off to a good start. 10 game suspension, supposedly.

Got him for the relative bargain of $500. Given I make the playoffs, SCOOOORE!

Someone still bit $988 in one of my leagues last night, runner up was around $500...I bid $225 just for the heck of it.

Greg Ambrosius wrote:Could the national media have gotten the Gordon news more wrong this past week if they tried? Think about it: Last Wednesday Gordon tweeted that he was resigned to missing the whole year and the media followed those reports even though negotiations between the NFLPA and owners was ongoing. Once word got out that a new HGH agreement would be part of the new CBA, reports ran rampant that Gordon could be reinstated and possibly starting on Sunday. Now he's going to miss 8 games?
It seems like everyone is trying to be first with the news rather than really digging for all the facts before breaking a story. And as a result, fans and fantasy owners twist with every new report. Get it right, rather than get it first.
I started a thread making this exact point about 2 years ago and again this week with the reporting Ellington missing 4-6 weeks only to start week one. It is obvious has has a foot injury and reports are swirling he may not play today. But NFL reporting and reporting in general is spiraling downward due to a desperation to be first. Does anyone care who is first?
Can anyone name who FIRST reported the Peterson news? Once the news breaks somewhere it explodes across countless media outlets and everyone gets the info. I don't know anyone who cares who got it first. Just get it right.
