Re: 3-City DC draft?
Okay, Chad Schroeder is tentatively back, but he needs to double-check his schedule first. If Scott Atkins returns then the Midwest team will be set and it looks like the West team could be set (if KJ returns). That would give Billy free access to recruit for his East team!!! This could get interesting.
I saw Scott in New York City a couple of weeks ago and he said he probably would return for the 3-City DC. I'll email him again to make sure. But we're getting closer here. Check out the current signup list:
NFFC 3-City Draft Champions League
Thursday, Aug. 6th, 9 pm ET
1. Billy Wasosky (East)
2. Mike Santos (West)
3. Matt Shepherd (West)
4. Bill Cleavenger (Midwest)
5. Wayne Ellis (Midwest
6. Bryan Steimetz (if we can start at 8:30 pm ET or 9 pm ET) (West)
7. Rob Benetti (on reserve if needed)
8. Chad Schroeder (tentative)

I'm off to a late start in football this season plus I'm not sure of my summer travel schedule yet, so count me out for now.

Greg, I'm going to have to bail on this league this year. Just don't have a grip on some personal/family time during that late July, early August time frame. Rob will be an exemplary addition to the MW in my place.
Thanks and Sorry.

Bill and Jules both can't make it this year, so if we move forward we're looking for some new participants. Scott Atkins has a wedding that weekend, but is checking his schedule and Chad is also double-checking his schedule. So the Midwest team could add Rob and still be very solid, but we need some recruiting for the East squad.BillyWaz wrote:How are we looking on Jules and Bill Strickler???
Anyone up for the challenge? It's an easy online draft with some of the best competitors we've ever had here. Let me know or post your intentions here. Thanks all.

I'm wondering if the price point is turning people away? I've talked to a few people that don't want to spend $1000 in a DC.Greg Ambrosius wrote:Bill and Jules both can't make it this year, so if we move forward we're looking for some new participants. We can do whatever you guys want and change the team prize if needed, but sure we can do it lower if needed. This is a private league, so I'm up for whatever you folks want. The concept is cool and the team competition was a lot of fun last year. Just let us know and we'll make it work.BillyWaz wrote:I'm wondering if the price point is turning people away? Re: 3-City DC draft?
Just a thought, but if you want to do this for fun and camaraderie and just do it as part of the NFFC Draft Champions National Championship we can do it for as low as $150. We wouldn't have any additional prizes for the team portion, outside of bragging rights, but it still would be a lot of fun. I'm fine with any price point, but if it's not meant to be this year then it's not meant to be. No worries either way, but this is one final option.
Let me know.

This may be the best way to go. It's all about the trash talking anyhow......although winning the money was nice.Greg Ambrosius wrote:Just a thought, but if you want to do this for fun and camaraderie and just do it as part of the NFFC Draft Champions National Championship we can do it for as low as $150. Im totally up for this. I know I can have the EAST assembled by this evening if this is the case.
Just a thought......if we made it $250 entry, could we keep it in the $150 National championship (with those prizes $800/$300/$100), and then take the extra $100 for each person and put that towards (4) OL leagues next year for the winning team???

Re: 3-City DC draft?
Certainly. We'd charge $150 per person and hold the rest on the side, with us making up the difference. I'll do that and manually post the team scores each week like I did last year.BillyWaz wrote:This may be the best way to go.
