Arian Foster Suffers Groin Injury

You know the NFL season is underway when the injuries start to occur. The first big one belongs to Arian Foster, who suffered a groin injury today. Early reports are not good but there is no official word yet on how long Foster will be out. Given his lengthy injury history this isn't a surprise that he's hurt but it does suck given his second-round ADP in our drafts.

Glad to have been drafting Polk with my last pick lately. Foster owners must be cringing. Oh the perils of early drafting.

Given Foster's injury history he could get hurt at any time. I don't think you can pin this on early drafting. He would be a major durability risk no matter when you drafted him.

I didn't draft him in my Cutline, (and, maybe it helps Nuk get more targets) but I'd like to think I'm speaking for many in the fantasy community when I tell Arian Foster to get well......and retire immediately, so we never have to deal with you again.

Not like anyone who drafted him didn't know they were getting, a injury waiting to happen.Really is anyone surprised ?

I don't like this for Hopkins, whom I've taken in a ton of leagues so far... Could be 85 catches 1000 yards and 5 tds.

I just love how smart people are when injuries occur.

3 years leading up to this year for Foster = 37 games played, 732 carries, 3212 yards
3 years leading up to last year for Murray = 38 games played, 542 carries, 2681 yards

Maybe not the best comparison. Murray 1.5 years younger than Foster plus other factors. Just making the point that plenty of winners were made on taking chances on guys like Foster.

His injury history is what puts him in the 2nd round. Otherwise, he's a top 5 pick.
