How Are You Dealing With KDS & 3RR In 2015?

I feel there is a definite advantage to having a draft position towards the end of the round. If a stud player drops to you at 10, you may not lose ground to a manager with a top 3-4 pick but get to pick early in rounds 2 and 3. This creates a situation where a person can get a really strong top 3.

In a draft of mine with the 3rd pick, there was a run of about 5 WRs towards the end of the third round where the best WR left was basically Keenan Allen at around pick 34. I think he is in for a bounce back year but there are concerns that he might not be a legit star player and may not get the lion share of the targets. I didn't think too much of it at the time because I was just trying to pick the best WR at that point and managed to draft Lamar Miller in the early 4th. The more I think about it shortly after, that was the one part of the draft that I was not satisfied with regarding my team. Now if Peterson does not have better year than the players getting picked towards the end of the first round and Keenan does not play well that can be tough to overcome. I personally set my preference for 3 because I wanted to get one of the big 3 but didn't think I would get stuck with Keenan. I even went into the draft thinking I was a slight disadvantage because of the 3RR.

This time a record NINE different draft spots were listed as the top preferences from these owners as everyone seems to have a different opinion on which draft spot is best to draft from. This is getting more interesting by the day.

It's cyclical, this year the 3RR seems to favor the end picks, but in years where there's a clear Top 2-4 picks, then it balances the draft a little better. I've done a bunch of cheaper MFL drafts, they do not do the 3RR and I feel the early picks have a huge advantage there, especially since it's next to impossible to get a decent RB at the 3/4 turn in that format.

So while this season the NFFC is skewed a little towards the end picks, I think that is far better than giving the teams at the top of the draft three of the top 26-28 picks, including their pick of the litter in the first round.
