NFL TD CELEBRATIONS

Post by COZ » Tue Nov 07, 2017 6:34 pm

As a fan I'm so glad the suits on Park Avenue finally lifted the capricious & onerous restrictions on TD Celebrations & put the "Fun" back in the NFL. After all, this is just a kid's game & it's refreshing to see the player's post-TD creativity & watch grown-ass men act like children & re-enact such childhood games like duck-duck-goose, hide 'n seek & a potato sack race immediately after scoring a touchdown. Shit, I didn't think it was possible, but the celebrations are more fun than the actual TD's. Fun, fun, fun. NFL....it's no longer the "Not-For-Long" League or the "National Felon" League, it's finally The National fucking FUN League again. I am literally on the edge of my seat every week & can't wait until someone finally does a red rover, red rover, come over celebration. Hilarious.

Just kidding. These TD celebrations are the stupidest thing the NFL has done since having the pink-on-the-uniforms-everywhere month & it is an embarrassment to the sport. Whatever happened to being a professional & acting like you've been there before. Oh, yeah I forgot.... respect, values & sportsmanship are a mere quaint relic of a bygone era. I have an idea, how about these dunces just hand the ball to the referee & then take a knee after every score instead of during the National Anthem. The NFL has become a joke but I guess that's what happens when you put Pete Rozelle's errand boy & a PR hack with no executive experience in charge of a multi-billion dollar league. How about they just get back to blocking & tackling and the play on the field as the entertainment instead of the clown-show-circus side-acts & the circus tent otherwise known as NFL Headquarters. Someone wake me when pitchers & catchers report. Until then, stay off my lawn. 8-)

It's like they want all viewers with an IQ > 90 or age > 30 to just quit watching ... and they're gradually succeeding.

I think the appropriate thing to do is to follow suit. Coz snipes Dez for $38 in the Super Auction, He leaps out of his chair. Duck Duck Goose is under way. He taps the shiny dome of Haan but alas....Brady brings back order. Chris buys his third dollar store QB and does the Eibl shuffle. Jared buys Alshon for the 15th time of the weekend and a Ring around the Jeffery celebration ensues amongst his posse. Pressure mounts for Gekko to do something special. There it is! He buys Elliott and Carlos back to back. Hyde and Zeke time of course.

Hall of Fame quality post there Champ!! Brady would lose his mind trying to get that auction back to order. He's thinking about hitting the Bellagio pool in 3 hours and you guys are playing Duck, Duck, Goose. Man would he lose it.

But like Goodell, I'd probably allow it. Let the kids play, we say!! 8-)

When the award-winning author of “The Big Short,” “The Blind Side” and “Moneyball,” stopped by Yahoo Finance yesterday to discuss his latest book, he was predictably asked for his next "Big Short" idea. And, after downplaying the value of his opinion, Lewis offered up a rather surprising answer: "The NFL."

This isn't good for the NFL, but I'd certainly read it. They need an intervention soon or things will continue to spiral out of control.

Last night's game was the final straw that the owners don't care about the players' health with these crazy Thursday Night Games. Richard Sherman joins the list of superstars now out for the season.

Please just move this game to Monday Night and have a Monday Night doubleheader every week. They would recoup the same rights fees with another game on Monday Night and the players would approve. Or you have to add a second bye week, extend the regular season by one week while cutting at least one pre-season game and make sure the Thursday Night teams have a bye the Sunday before that. Both plans work better than this injury-riddled Thursday Night fiasco.

The NFL can't get out of their own way. Pick a topic!! They find a way to bring on controversy.

Plenty of room on the baseball bandwagon for all frustrated NFL fantasy owners. Baseball drafts starting soon! Vroom vroom.
