FAAB In The NFFC Starts Wednesday & Friday

Just a heads up that for the first time in the NFFC's 15-year history we will be allowing free agent pickups BEFORE Week 1. For any league that drafted and completed before the Wednesday, Sept. 5th 10 pm ET deadline will have FAAB that night. FAAB deadline is 10 pm ET on Wednesday.

We will also allow FAAB on Friday at 10 pm ET for all drafts that are also complete by that time.

Now just a heads up: All players are available for pickup on Wednesday and used in your Week 1 starting lineups. However, the Falcons and Eagles will NOT be in the free agent pool on Friday. If you want any of those guys you need to get them on Wednesday. No free look for those free agents.

Hope that helps. This rule was updated because of what happened in the past with injuries to kickers and others. Now we have Dan Bailey being cut by the Cowboys and Jerrick McKinnon injured and out for the season. Glad we have Week 1 FAAB to allow early drafting owners a shot to replace those guys. Is the 'Free Agency' link going to be added to the player pages before this FAAB period? That is such a huge tool for someone with multiple teams to be able to bid on the same player across all your leagues rather than going in and out of each team's FAAB page. It was a pain going into each and every one of my early Cutline and OC teams looking to see if Peterson and Morris are available.

The Free Agency link will be added as soon as some other things for the weekend are squared away. I agree 1000% with you how important it is. It will not be there in time for FAAB this week, but hopefully as soon as next week.

FYI, I started a Website Suggestions thread, and included adding bye weeks to the list of free agents. I agree though, let's also add it to each individual player's page.

When you go to the free agent page nowhere does it tell you which team you have loaded. Problem.

Also the save button on this page is obnoxious ... like going back to the early days when programmers routinely created useless excess clicks.

We are adding the league name to each FAAB page today. We agree, it was not identified properly and was confusing for anyone who had multiple teams. Look for this fix before Friday's FAAB runs.

The waterfall in FAAB also had a glitch last night. It worked for anyone using it on original bids, but if you copied your bids onto another string the waterfall did not work. That caused extra work for a lot of owners who have multiple teams and we apologize. We are fixing that right now and will have that ready before Friday's FAAB as well.

Other tweaks to FAAB will be done today as well. We will add the Opponents and the Bye Weeks to that page. We'll add the up and down arrows so that you can more easily move around FAAB on an iPad. We will allow the teams to toggle on the left side like we do on Set Lineup.

These are all top priorities today to make FAAB easier for everyone. Thanks for pushing through it last night.

I guess I have updates in two spots, so I better post these here too. Here's the latest tweaks for the game site:

Fixes that just went out:

1) Join Team repeating on My Teams page is eliminated
2) FAAB - Opponent, Bye week, and Team name/league name has now been added to the header
3) Set Lineup, not being able to switch Thursday players in Flex has been fixed
4) There is also a Team pulldown toggle in Free Agents that easily allows you to get to all of your teams from that page. That was added yesterday and should save time in doing FAAB going forward. Enjoy.

The waterfall in FAAB bidding for copied bids also works fine now. It was not working properly for copied bids on Wednesday, but was working for original bids. It works both ways now.
