If we wait til rd4 to draft RBs then our definition will be different than someone who is taking RB in rds 1 & 2 just due to we will likely be stronger at wr.
Good luck to all varying strategies. Interesting how this actually pans out when you get in drafts. See? We're not as inflexible as we may seem. Though we may set out w/ a particular strategy, we do indeed adapt to each draft as it unfolds. Now let's just hope none of our early-round RBs hit land mines.
We've done a few DCs so far and here's how we fared in the early rounds (don't recall exact rounds selected, but roughly in draft order):
Slow Draft 1-14th (according to plan, WR/WR/QB/RB): Calvin, Marshall, Romo, Jacobs, Housh, Winslow, Bradshaw, LT.
GAMERS 1-13th (couldn't let Turner go by): Turner, Marshall, Boldin, Cutler, Moreno, Jacobs, Evans, Bradshaw, Holmes
GAMERS 2-10th (we didn't think a top-7 QB would fall to us in rd3 so we took one in rd2): Fitz, Manning, DWilliams, Celek, Ward, McFadden, Housh, Slaton
Still highly unlikely that we'll take TWO RBs early in any drafts. Too much risk on too volatile a position, IMO.

Not sure yet Glenn. I like our Jacobs/Bradshaw combo in two leagues - regardless of which one ends up starting or which one we drafted first.
Slow Draft
We're weak at RB (and I think Keller might be our TE1). But we're strong where we want to be - WR/QB.
GAMERS 1
More RB power, but also high-upside up/down WRs like Evans and Holmes will be good for DC leagues too. Having just Cutler for our QB (we only took Bradford and Cutler's NFL backup, Hanie, as other QBs ) probably makes this league the riskiest for us. But if Cutler plays well most weeks, I like this team.
GAMERS 2
Looked better when we drafted it and Fitz wasn't hurt yet. But I really like how we nabbed a TOP player (potential top-5) at each of the four positions w/ our first 4 picks. I also like our aging WR2 and WR3. Though not sexy picks, they're still a pretty solid bet for 80/900/7, which is fine for WRs. Again, RB2 is our weakness, but as you well know by now w/ us, we don't mind that at all.
I like them ALL I guess. Check back w/ me in 3 weeks and we'll know better.

Probably. Instead of having to use a late first round pick on him then, you might be able to snag Rodgers or Brees in rd1, then Fitz in 2. Wow! Or pair Fitz up w/ another top WR like Calvin or Austin. Maybe even a Turner/Fitz combo? Some intriguing options for sure.

RBs are less important in this league than in any other league you can find. The 1/2 PPR not only makes them inherently less valuable than WRs, it ends up creating an enormous bunching of RBs with a small distrubtion of projected points beyond the first 5 or 6 (conversely, the 6 point QB TDs has the opposite effect, which makes RBs even less valuable). Using a RB as a flex is almost always dumb.
