We are on pace for a record year in the NFFC and one of the contests that is also headed toward a record season is the NFFC Draft Champions National Championship. This best ball season-long contest should finish above 3,000 teams for the first time as everyone is chasing that $30,000 grand prize.
All of the formats are doing well, from the 4-Hour DCs to the Express leagues and from the $150 price point to the $400 price point. But as the season inches closer each day, it's time to set a deadline for when the "slow drafts" must end.
Most of these 4-Hour, 2-Hour and 1-Hour Draft Champions leagues finish in 7 to 14 days and there's really no reason for a draft to go beyond that. These are 34-round drafts and each one should be completing 2-3 rounds per day at a minimum. And if they can't finish that fast, then we'll start to lower the time per pick to get all of these done by Sunday morning, September 11th. All of these DCs will -- and MUST -- be done before the 1 pm Sunday kickoffs.
So with that in mind, here's the last days that we'll fill the NFFC $150 and $400 4-Hour Draft Champions Leagues:
Thursday, August 26th. We'll take signups through that day and start no later than Friday morning, August 27th. Plan accordingly.
Here's the last days that we'll fill the NFFC $150 and $400 2-Hour Draft Champions Leagues:
Tuesday, August 30th. We'll take signups through that day and start no later than Wednesday, August 28th. Plan accordingly.
Here's the last days that we'll fill the NFFC $150 and $400 1-Hour Draft Champions Leagues:
Thursday, September 1st. We'll take signups through that day and start no later than Friday morning, September 2nd. Plan accordingly.
We will continue to offer DC Express Leagues every night from now until Saturday, Sept. 10th, so plan accordingly. Should be a wild finish to the drafting season and I can't wait to get the season started. These are "draft and be done" leagues where the computer picks your optimal scoring lineup every week for 17 weeks. Thanks all and good luck.

Re: NFFC 2-Hour Draft Champions Deadline: August 30th
Just a heads up that tomorrow is the last day to get into the NFFC $150 and $400 2-Hour Draft Champions League. We want to start our last ones no later than Tuesday night. We will still have 1-Hour and Express drafts left over the last 11 drafting days.
We'll also turn off the Cutline 4-Hour leagues tomorrow, leaving just 2-Hour, 1-Hour and Express Cutline leagues after tomorrow. Plan accordingly.
Thanks for a record year and good luck.

Re: NFFC 2-Hour Draft Champions Deadline: August 30th
This is the last day to get into the NFFC $400 or $150 2-Hour Draft Champions leagues, so sign up now. We will still offer the 1-Hour and Express DC drafts after today, but it's time to close down the 2-Hour DCs.
All Draft Champions leagues will be done drafting before the Sunday, Sept. 11th 1 pm ET games. Plan accordingly and if some leagues are moving too slowly, we will adjust the clocks to a quicker time frame. ALL will be finished by kickoff that day.
