Fierer & Cappillino Win 2024 NFFC Super Titles & $16,500

We had a total of eight NFFC Super Leagues this year and only two of them had an owner win part of the regular season title and the Championship Round title. Mark Fierer of Fort Worth, Texas did that in the NFFC September 1st 12-Team Super Online league as his team won a total of $16,500. His team won $2,500 for having the best record during the regular season before capturing the $14,000 prize in the Championship Round.

And Jason Cappillino's team did the same thing in the September 4th, 9 pm ET NFFC 12-Team Super Online League. That team also captured the best h2h record before winning the $14,000 prize in the Championship Round. We'll analyze Jason's team after reviewing Mark's team.

It was another good year for Mark as he also won the NFFC Diamond League and $70,000 there. He had several teams battling for league titles in the high-stakes private leagues and winning one Diamond League title and one Super League title isn't shabby at all.

He had to work for this Super League title as Team Fierer qualified for the Championship Round by going 11-3 for the best h2h record. His 1,961.45 points ranked fourth in the league as Patrick Gallagher won that $2,500 prize for most points at 2,048.7. Also making the Championship Round were John Pierce and Michael O'Brien.

Team Fierer started out the Championship Round in fourth place, but quickly jumped to the top by scoring 200.1 points in Week 15. He maintained a 19.61 point lead over Gallagher through Week 16 by posting a 175.8 point week and then sealed the deal in Week 17 with 167.05 points. Mark finished with 683.05 points to finish ahead of Pierce by 43.68 points for the title. John won $6,000 for his runner-up finish and Patrick Gallagher finished third for another $2,000. Michael Fonte won the Consolation Round and $500 by scoring 624.85 points.

Mark's championship team was led in Week 17 by Jayden Daniels' 40.05 points, while Malik Nabors scored 36.1. Also contributing were Brian Thomas with 23.9 points and Amon Ra-St. Brown with 20.0. Daniels also had 29.9 points in Week 15 and 47.0 in Week 16. Not bad for a rookie QB. Thomas also scored 32.5 points in Week 16 to keep that rookie theme rolling.

Mark drafted from the fourth spot in this league and jumped St. Brown there before taking Nabors, Rachaad White and Travis Kelce with his first four picks. Getting Thomas in the sixth and Daniels in the ninth was key to the title, but adding J.K. Dobbins in the 11th round solidified his backfield. Well done Mark and congrats on this title.

Now let's analyze Jason Cappillino's championship team from the NFFC September 4th, 9 pm ET 12-Team Super Online league. Jason's team battled Chad Schroeder tooth and nail for the head to head title as they both finished at 11-3, with Jason edging Chad by 4.9 points for the tie-breaker and the $2,500 prize. Jason finished with 2,013.6 points, while Chad finished with 2,008.7 points.

Chris Slack won the $2,500 prize for most points as he finished with 2,079.55. That was 65.95 points than Jason. Joining Jason and Chris in the Championship Round were Chad and Chris Miller.

This was an interesting Championship Round as Jason jumped into the lead after scoring 172.55 points in Week 15, only to fall to second place despite scoring 181.15 points in Week 16. Chad's Cocktails & Dreams team scored 208.4 points in Week 16 to move ahead by 17.05 points. But Team Cappillino scored 191.75 points in Week 17 to move into first place and it finished 22.45 points ahead of Chad for the $14,000 league prize. Chad finished second to win $6,000, while Chris Slack finished third to win $2,000. Bob Catsiroumpas won the Consolation Round and $500 with 628.09 points.

Jason's championship team was led in Week 17 by Baker Mayfield's 48.15 points and Mike Evans's 29.7, while Adam Thielen added 28.0 points and Bijan Robinson contribued 24.8 points. Philadelphia's defense also pitched a beauty to earn 23.0 points. Great job Jason and congrats on the title.

Jason drafted from the sixth spot in this Online league and started with Bijan Robinson, Nico Collins, Mike Evans and Terry McLaurin. Getting Chuba Hubbard in Round 10 paid big dividends, but adding Baker Mayfield in Round 18 was the bargain of the draft. Baker was picked 11 rounds after Jason teamed Jordan Love up with Jayden Reed.
