12 team format. Why do we need H2H for weeks 12 and 13. Play weeks 12 and 13 to add to the total points. H2H winner is determined after 11 weeks, total pts winner is determined after 13 weeks.

just a thought.

just a thought. I really think the NFFC is trying to avoid an 11 game regular season, as I know that is a big complaint of many WCOFF customers.

I know what you proposed is a bit different, but for ONE of the playoff teams WOULD be from 11 weeks.

Put me down for a vote of H2H in Weeks 1-11, and "all play" the final two weeks. :D

The issue is a real one when repeating weeks 1&2. We all know that many people will be out of it by week 12. Therefore, chances are greater that they were weak in the first 2 weeks as well.

So, some teams get to "dominate" weak teams while some teams play stronger teams.

This is why my "vote" would be for John's proposal.

2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

I know I would not. 14 team leagues are for more challenging IMO, and I personally love the challenge.

I think the real question is.......

How many would do BOTH???? :D
I would do both and totally ditch the WCOFF. I'm sure that many others would do the same.

Why couldn't you still have a league championship after 13 weeks.. Just take top 4 teams and week 14 and 15 they square off for the top 3 in the league.. you get top 4 by having top 2 league scorers and top 2 records.. you can rank them anyway you like,

Let those 4 play for LCG? if this were used in Main Event, then you just take the top 50 or 60 league scorers after 13 weeks and they are in no matter what record they have or whether they end up winning their LCG games..

the only issue is scheduling here but i think you do a completely random schedule for every single league and then it's fair..

You still would have people who would complain even if it was completely random, as a player in league A had two easy games, where a player in league B had two difficult ones.

The playoffs are fine IMO. If you can't be in the top 2 OR qualify as a wild card, you really don't belong in the hunt for the 100K IMO.
I hear ya Paul, as if I had to make a choice, the KNOWN identity of the NFFC would trump WCOFF.

However, the trifecta might be a nice play here too, as a 300K grand prize is tough to pass up! :D

Hint...Hint Greg! ;)

I think Wcoff is going toexend to a 13 week season.. if they don't they will survive, but if NFFC goes to 12 or adds a 12 team format then thegloves come off..lol..
