Harvin gets to play the Wes Welker role he's more fit for, & Rice gets to not have the entire passing game & double team coverage fall on his shoulders as he's integrated back into the offense. In addition, with the added focus for Defenses, Shiancoe should'nt be losing red-zone looks.
When Rice returns this offense will be sick.
Berrian needs to grab a clipboard.

I think the biggest beneficiary in NE will be Hernandez. He now becomes the lead figure in the Red Zone and I expect the Patriots to line him outside and use him as a WR - much like the Chargers do with Gates, the Colts with Clark, the Packers with Finley etc. His value shoots through the roof now.
I think Brady will be fine. He's a stud and he's won Super Bowls throwing to the likes of Deion Branch and David Patten. This is a big blow without question but Brady will get it done. He always does.
The guy I'm most interested to watch now is Welker. Terrific WR but he benefited greatly from Moss clearing out the underneath routes. He no longer has that since Tate isn't in Moss' class obviously. I doubt Welker suffers a huge hit but defenses will focus more intently on him now. It will be interesting to see how he responds.

I'm sure you have connections to get that done, Frank!

I think this is good for the NFL. The Patriots appeared to be phasing Moss out. As an NFL fan, that isn't any fun to see. We want to watch Moss running downfield making big plays, not running clear out routes for Welker and being ignored by Brady. That isn't going to happen now. Maybe this whole thing won't work (although I'm betting it will), but each game we're going to see Favre trying to make big plays with Moss. That makes for enjoyable football to watch. I think this is not only a good trade for Favre and Moss owners in fantasy but it's a good trade for NFL fans period.

Tom,
I agree about Hernandez. I was really high on him coming into this season and then moved off him draft week because of how active and talented Gronkowski looked in the pre season. I worried they would split TE production. Now I can see 2 TE sets where they are attacking downfield with Hernandez and working intermediate routes with Gronkowski when he releases late.
Amazing how one trade impacts so much.

I actually think it's an upgrade for Favre, Harvin and AP in a big way but I think this may hurt Welker and even Brady a bit. Teams always doubled up on Moss which frees up the rest of the pass catchers and I vividly recall the hit The Vikes took when Dante suddenly had to learn to read defenses and failed misurably. Granted Brady is no Dante but I wouldn't discount the Moss effect on defensive schemes...
