Is There Any Interest In A $5K NFFC League?

I do believe side bets are allowed for the 2005 season. Hmmm, Champ?

Btw, I don't don't understand why my comment seemed to rub you the wrong way. Last year, you were very clear in stating that you were looking forward to playing in the NFFC because you thought there would be a lot of weaker FF manager. So you see, I didn't interpret you statement the way I did without reason. Am I incorrect, Mr.Gekko?

Am I incorrect, Mr.Gekko? there are other reasons why i'd not play in this league. yes, strength of opponents is one factor, but not the biggest IMO. i don't want to be a negative force with the 5K league...which is why i basically said i didn't want to discuss my reasons.

As you (and others) read this post, i can't help but wondering what you all are thinking. maybe...
"what am i doing wrong in high stakes fantasy football?"
"why can't i win a high stakes event?"
"how can i be more like the Champ (Gekko)?"

i've made the history books...2004 NFFC Champ. i know it burns you (and others) that someone so seemingly self-serving as me won.

honestly, how many years have you been playing high stakes fantasy football events? what is your best overall finish? thanks.

btw, i've won multiple fantasy football titles.

$100,000 is your record? I guess you've never one a thing prior this, huh?

I finished 2nd overall in the Fantasy Football Masters last year (252 entries, $500 each) and I've finished above .500 in each of the first three WCOFFs & NFFC with one League Championship. That's my modest record in the high-stakes leagues.

P.S. Damn, you are dillusional if you think ANYONE want to be more like Gekko.

[/QUOTE]Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't you NOT even win your own league? Yes, you had it in total points (which I agree is more of a "quality" indicator than overall record), but weren't you like the 7th best overall in points going into the playoffs?

Team NEW dominated the regular season.

Teenage Wasteland got hot when it counted and dominated the playoffs.

To say you DOMINATED your league is a complete farse! Dominating is leading from start to finish, and showing minimal weakness.

Were you the leader in your league in total points from start to finish?

Were you the leader in your league in total points from start to finish? semantics my friend. blindly giving away the league championship to the best H2H record is inefficient and the exact reason why i know of multiple people who won't join the nffc main event.

i dominated my league and then the playoffs. i dominated everyone in the playoffs, including team new. you could try and split hairs if you want, but here is my record last year in the three nffc events.

Main Event:
Most points scored in LV3 (by over 100)
Won the NFFC main event championship

Auction:
Most points scored in LV auction league
Lost second round H2H game. Finished third.

Draft Champions:
Finished 6th I believe. Lost S.Smith and R.Caldwell to season ending injuries.
