The point in my opinion Russ, is it is all "perception" of him making the "wrong" picks.

I mean wouldn't some of been in an uproar last year if someone would have taken the following....

1st- QB Tom Brady
2nd- RB Jamal Lewis
3rd- WR Braylon Edwards
4th- WR Wes Welker
5th- TE Jason Witten
6th- RB Fred Taylor
7th- WR Dwayne Bowe, etc.

We all (including myself) would have said "why did he "reach" for all of those players??? Add in JUST ONE pickup of either Ryan Grant or Earnest Graham, and he most likely ran away with his league, and was making a run at the 100K (well maybe not with the Patriots)

There was a team that drafted in the Main two years ago that started in the 300's (out of 322) in Week one, and finished 7-10 spots from dead last (never made it out of the 300's ALL YEAR!) They didn't have any significant injuries until well into the season, but because they followed "ADP", no one said a word. Couldn't it be said that the teams in his league had a SERIOUS advantage??

I would be willing to say that this team will not start OR finish that poorly. While I agree 100% that there are players he started with that I feel he could have waited on, what gives someone to START A THREAD about that?

If for example he REALLY likes Willie Parker this year, AND he feels Chad Johnson isn't an injury risk, maybe he feels that he couldn't have got these players one round later.

I am willing to bet that Willie Parker went BEFORE pick 3.08 in t least ONE other Main Event league this weekend, and I would be willing to think that Chad Johnson didn't make it to the 4th round (especially 4.07) in 90% of the leagues.

Again, so he took a few guys that he thought wouldn't have been there. The Rudi Johnson news wasn't out yet, and he took three players currently not ready to start the season, but I have seen positive news on both Curtis and Torain as they are ahead of schedule.

If people out there believe that this is the first time that someone seriously "went against the grain" in the NFFC, they are truly naive. There will ALWAYS be teams that don't follow ADP and get the team THEY want. For $1,300, shouldn't that be THEIR choice???

Others have said the thread starter created it "to make excuses" and "whine", now that IMO is something that HASN'T changed also.

KJ Duke and Lance need to make some kind of a wager on this team (a la The All-DL Team in the NFBC). In any event, I'll be rooting for this team to win, too. Everyone loves an underdog -- queue up the "Rocky" theme

1 guy arguably taking a handful of players a couple rounds early ... does not make my team significantly better.

Great ... I have 6 picks move a one player position up. I am usually looking at group of 3 or four guys when I draft anyway ... I only really only benefit if a guy drops to me.

Look at that draft.

2006 100K NFFC winner.
2007 100K NFFC winner.
2007 runner up.
5 owners made the playoffs in 2007 (I was told).
2004, 2005, 2007 DC champ (not in main in 2007).

Your kidding yourself if you think this was an easy draft. I am sure I would have been better off at any other table in Chicago.
