Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
We're glad to welcome another new member to the growing NFFC family as Frank Oldani of Caledonia, Illinois signed up for the NFFC's main event in Chicago yesterday. Frank is a veteran player of high-stakes fantasy football games, but he likes our regional concept this year and the cost of driving to Chicago rather than flying to Las Vegas. Frank will be joined by co-manager Kraig Heller at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. They also become our 13th official signup in Chicago, leaving us one signup away from our first full league there. Thanks for your trust and support, guys, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
Let's give it up for yet another new member to the growing NFFC family as Leif Wyatt of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada signed up today to compete in the NFFC's main event on Saturday, Sept. 3rd at the Palace Station in Las Vegas. Leif read about our high-stakes event last year, but couldn't make it to the draft in 2004. However, he quickly made his vacation plans this year and signed up today to compete for the main event. Thanks for your trust and support, Leif, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. The first beer in Las Vegas is on me!

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
Our 43rd returning member from the 2004 event also happens to be No. 1 on our current Lifetime Standings list. Yes, Gordon Gekko has just signed up to defend his NFFC title in Las Vegas and co-manager Jason Emma will definitely be there as well. Gordon becomes our 26th signup in Las Vegas and our 52nd overall in the main event. Gekko's Teenage Wasteland team finished with a 9-4 regular season record in Las Vegas League 3, but earned second place money by leading the league with 1,877.05 points, good enough for eighth overall. Teenage Wasteland then dominated the three-week playoff round with 715.34 points to win the overall title and $100,000 by more than 58 points. It was a solid performance by someone who talked a lot during the season!
Gordon was in all three events last year in Las Vegas and he will be in a minimum of three events this year. He returns to the Auction League, where his Let's Go Chiefs finished 11-2 last year and led with 1,790.7 regular season points. The Chiefs were beaten in the semi-final round, but won the consolation game to finish with third place money. GG's Draft Champions team, Silver and Gold, finished sixth with 2,223.2 points and he returns again this year in that event.
GG may add a Sunday event, but for now we have him listed for the three early events. Thanks for your trust and support, Gordon and Jason (both in football and baseball), and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize, the $4,250 Draft Champions prize and the $4,000 Auction League prize. And please, wear something other than that John Deere shirt this year!

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
It's good to see the original members returning in 2005 as we just received a signup from our 44th member who competed in 2004. Jeff Dobies of Richmond, New York will return to the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd for the main event, even though his Colts team finished 4-9 in New York League 1 last year. The Colts had 1,522.9 points, but it wasn't enough to get a money finish. Jeff not only is returning to the NFFC's main event, but he's also the first person to officially sign up for the $5K NFFC Ultimate Draft League, which will be held on Sunday, Sept. 4th. Thanks for your continued trust and support Jeff (both in baseball and football) and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $37,500 that is available in the NFFC Ultimate League.

Are you sticking in Chicago this year, Rick, or joining us in Vegas again? Either way we'll take care of you.

Congratulations Gekko. Not only did you win the Grand Prize last year, but you posted every thought on every player worth mentioning last year, whether people liked it or not. I look forward to taking some of that money back in 2005...

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
Keep the signups coming!!! I'm glad to welcome back one of our most loyal members of the NFBC/NFFC family as Pete Lukowicz of Manalapan, New Jersey signed up yesterday for the NFFC's main event even though he's still working on his starting baseball lineup for the NFBC. Pete competed in New York League 4 last fall, and even though his Destiny squad finished well out of the money with a 4-9 record and a total of 1,473.1 points, he's back for the main event again in 2005. Pete will be drafting at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd, becoming our 15th signup there and our 45th returning team from 2004. Thanks for your trust and support once again, Pete, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
