Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
Splittsville is official with Team Diesel as Marc Quitsch of Staten Island, New York just signed up for the New York $650 Auction League, now competing against Eddy Betancourt and others. Marc, who is already signed up for the Draft Champions League and will be adding the main event down the line, admits that he did overpay for Hines Ward last year as Team Diesel finished out of the money, but that Eddy guaranteed that Lee Suggs was the next coming of Walter Payton! Anyway, this should be fun to watch and this New York Auction League now has 6 owners with 8 open spots left. Let's fill that one up and start on a second NY Auction League. Thanks once again for your trust and support, Marc, and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000 in prizes in this league.

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
To Greg and all NFFC participants. ...
It's official: Just signed up for this year's NFFC event! I'm very excited to be making my way to the industry's "other" prestigious event after three years of playing in the WCOFF (and still going btw). Looks like I'm following the footsteps of the likes of Nag' and Gekko. Anyone else play in both leagues?
In any case, looking forward to see y'all in Vegas baby!!! -z-

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
Yes, he beat me to the punch, but I'll still officially welcome our newest member of the growing NFFC family, Robert Zarzycki of Hewitt, New Jersey, to the gang. The Z-Men has had great success in the WCOFF, finishing second overall in 2002 and third overall in 2003. He failed to finish in the money last year, but his record stands for itself. In the last year, he's also written a book called "Drafting To Win: The Ultimate Guide To Fantasy Football" that will be released in mid-June. We'll even allow Robert to sell books in Las Vegas and have a book signing during registration. If all goes well, Robert and myself may be working on a much bigger project that also involves the NFFC, but more on that later.
Z-Men will be drafting in the NFFC's main event at the Palace Station in Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 3rd and he's staying out there for the full week to also draft in the WCOFF the next weekend. We're glad to have a champion of his caliber in the NFFC and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. Just realize, Robert, that the NFFC is a 14-team league, so be prepared!

Robert, you'll recognize the names of guys who have done both in the past, such as Nag, Gekko, Ken Magner, Pete Lukowicz and Will Robertson. I know there are others and they'll get louder once training camps open! It's a competitive bunch, just like every other big-time event.

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
Let's give it up for our 56th team from the 2004 event to return in 2005 as the tag team of Doyle Cook and Richard Suit of Tuckerton, New Jersey is returning to the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd for the main event. The tag team led Jersey Splicers to a 5-8 record in New York League 1 last year, finishing with 1,463.1 points. The Splicers made a run during the Consolation Bowl, finishing 32nd overall with 549.10 points. Doyle and Rich had so much fun last year that they signed up early this year and may even try to draft in Las Vegas if they can convince some buddies to join them. We'll keep a spot open out there if that happens, guys, and bring plenty of friends with you, but for now we'll list you in New York. Thanks once again for your trust and support and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?
We're starting our sixth NFFC league today as we now have 71 total signups for the main event thanks to the return of our 57th team from 2004. Let's give it up for Chris Litsey of Frankton, Indiana, who will again return on Saturday, Sept. 3rd to draft at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott. Chris's Indy Gators struggled last year in Chicago League 1, going 1-12 with 1,420.45 points, but he had so much fun that he's ready to battle again for the title. Chris becomes the 17th team to sign up in Chicago as we should easily top last year's four leagues in the Windy City. Thanks for your trust and support again, Chris, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

As far as the size of the NFFC league, I'm really looking forward to playing in a 14-teamer. As I explain in my book, the larger the league the more skill it takes to win. To give you an idea, imagine playing in an 8-team league: everyone has a studded line-up, right? It's practically a crap shoot. Even 10-team leagues aren't all tha difficult to draft a good team. Skill really starts to enter in a 12-team league, and that size makes for a nice mix of luck and skill. But a 14-team league, that's a nice challenge, one I can't wait to try out! -z-

Well placed shot, Gekko. Your last year's fortunate finish here has allowed you to fire away this offseason, if you so choose. And since that's something you haven't (and will likely never be able) to do in WCOFF or anywhere else to my knowledge, use it to your heart's content on these boards because the honeymoon will be over soon.
