Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

Well placed shot, Gekko. Your last year's fortunate finish here has allowed you to fire away this offseason, if you so choose. And since that's something you haven't (and will likely never be able) to do in WCOFF or anywhere else to my knowledge, use it to your heart's content on these boards because the honeymoon will be over soon. "fortunate finish"? - it was a domination. both league and playoffs.
as far as the wcoff, why would i want to go there, when there are so many "new" faces in the nffc?
i did play the wcoff once, but i left due to various reasons. i don't see why i'd likely never be able to win the wcoff if i entered again, as you state?
in any event, with all your wisdom, (and correct me if I'm wrong cause i didn't follow your team last year), but weren't you the bloke who got QB blocked by an owner, and followed that up by not making the playoffs? guess there's a learning curve?
getting QB blocked in almost inexcusable. really. if you had significant injuries, that might be a reason to not make the playoffs. care to elaborate?

You are a stereotype of an arrogant winner, Gekko. It would be prudent of you to keep in mind though, that anyone who finishes ahead of you in the upcoming year will likely bash and trash you into next offseason's hibernation. And I have a feeling there'll be plenty of those, willing and able.

GG, you sound more like Dr. Evil than the 2004 Champ. I know exactly how you're feeling coming in to this season...You've stated last year that a top pick (1-5) has much more of a chance of winning money than a pick like 10-14...Now last season, you won the entire event with a drafting spot that was somewhere between 10-14. Instead of re-thinking your theory on draft picks, you think that you were still right about needing a top pick to win, but also think that you are just so damn good that you can and will win at ANY spot. Confidence builds character, my fantasy foe. Arrogance builds you up to be, most certainly, knocked down. With that 100K, I hope you bought a nice soft cushion.

I know your game GG. You should be confident when you are putting up between $650 - $5,000 to play in these events. I was sticking up for all of us "onlookers" you said you're about to crush.

I would call a lawyer if I was you. Some of your staffers from 2004 are marketing your name and face as a dartboard target. I hope you approved this...

Didn't you figure it out Gekko that MANY league champs came from the 2nd half draft positions in the draft? Your research on this holds ZERO water!
Also, drafting late gives you TWO quality RB's, and the top picks don't have that opportunity (not to say it can't be done, but the deck IS stacked against them).
Also, if you had Holmes, you wouldn't have cashed the 100K.
Kudos to you... you won! But the chances of getting everything to fall for you again is HIGHLY unlikely!
I think your goal this year should be to win your league!
