Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

Post by Robert Zarzycki » Mon May 23, 2005 5:38 am

Speaking of baseball, if any1 is interested, I bought two entire rows for the Mets fireworks night against the Marlins on July 1st (that's 32 seats in all). What that means is if you're sitting down and some idiot spills beer on your lap as he walks by, well, you know him or you know someone who knows him.

Still looking to fill 10 more seats if anyone is interested. $30 pp, includes ticket to game, surprise Mets gift, plus 5 hours of tailgating including parking lot no limit hold em tourneys (yes, we set that up), dogs, burgers, and my famous jungle juice to get every1 off their rocker. E-mail [email protected]. -z-

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue May 24, 2005 8:52 am

Okay, we had a good weekend of signups while I was in Los Angeles, so let's get right to them. Let's give it up for the returning tag team of Charlie Gillespie and Jason Aberli of Louisville, Kentucky, who just signed up for the NFFC's main event and the NFFC Auction League at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Sept. 2-3. Charlie and Jason competed in Las Vegas last summer, but Charlie is getting married this summer and is keeping the little Mrs. happy this year by staying closer to home! Good boy, Charlie! :D The tandem competed in Las Vegas League 1 last year, leading their Midway Bolts to a 6-6-1 finish with 1,665.05 points, good enough for 66th overall. Midway Bolts then finished with 496.54 points in the Consolation Bowl, finishing 85th overall. Best of luck this year guys in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Jason and Charlie are eager to get it on again in the NFFC Auction League, especially after the tough luck they experienced last year. They finished with a 6-7 record, but made it into the playoffs as the No. 6 seed after scoring 1,626.15 points. They then lost to Lumpy's Losers in the first round of the playoffs by just 0.05 points -- 156.75-156.70. That loss was hard enough to take, but watching Lumpy's Losers go on to win the league title must have been even worse! We're glad you're coming back for more, guys, so best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000 in league prizes here. Oh, and make sure Tom Kessenich takes care of you in Chicago as well as I took care of you in Las Vegas. :D

For the record, we now have 21 Chicago signups for the main event and 83 overall. We also have eight Auction League signups in Chicago as we close in on our first full auction league in the Windy City.

We're glad to welcome another new member to the growing NFFC family as the tag team of Stephen Rodenberger of Pennsburg, Pennsylvania and Daniel Vanim will be joining us for the NFFC's main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. Stephen and Daniel heard about our event through our ads on footballguys.com and we're glad to have them on board. They are new to our family of high-stakes events, but they obviously are die-hard players who are ready to get it on. They become our 21st official signup in New York and 84th overall, filling up our sixth league between the three cities. Welcome aboard, Stephen and Daniel, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. Oh, and the first beers in New York are on us! :D

We begin filling up our seventh league for the NFFC's main event by welcoming back our 64th team from the 2004 event. The tag team of Kenrol Paynter of McDonough, Georgia and Stan McLaren return to Las Vegas and will join us at the Palace Station on Saturday, Sept. 3rd, giving us 85 signups overall for the main event. The tag team led their Nemesis team to a 6-7 record in Las Vegas League 6 last year, finishing with 1,463.1 points and 447.90 points in the Consolation Bowl. They didn't cash out, but plan to do so this year. Thanks once again guys for your trust and support and best of luck once again in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. First beer in Las Vegas is on me!

We're glad to welcome yet another new member to our growing NFFC family as the tag team of Jim and Lee Ann Wiseheart of New Albany, Indiana has signed up for the NFFC's Auction League at the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott on Friday, Sept. 2nd. Jim and Lee Ann are new to our family of high-stakes events and we welcome them with open arms. We now have nine signups for the Chicago Auction League, leaving us with five open spots. This is great as we didn't fill a full league in Chicago last year, but certainly will do that this year. Thanks for your trust and support, Jim and Lee Ann, and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000 in league prizes.

Well, I have all but decided to join NFFC for 2005. I see some fellow WCOFF members over here so I dont feel so alone. I can't really find a reason not to join, so I will be diving in within a week or so. Looks like a well run league. Looking forward to it.
