Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Jun 22, 2005 10:59 am

There's nothing like word-of-mouth advertising and I appreciate the support we're getting from our loyal members. Jack Battin has teamed up with Ron Chan of San Francisco, California in the WCOFF the last couple of years, but this year both players are going to take separate teams in the NFFC in Las Vegas. Ron will also be going to Las Vegas both weekends to compete as he's signed up for our NFFC main event and the NFFC Draft Champions League. Ron becomes our 60th signup in Las Vegas and 124th overall for the main event and he's our 13th signup for the Las Vegas Draft Champions League as we have one open spot left before we fill that up. Keep 'em coming and we'll shoot for a second Draft Champions league. Thanks for your trust and support, Ron, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize. Oh, and the first beers are on us in Las Vegas. :D

Let's welcome another new member to the growing NFFC family as Robert Jurney of Dunkirk, Maryland has just signed up for the NFFC's main event and the NFFC Auction League in Las Vegas. Robert is new to the NFFC, but he was a competitor in our National Fantasy Baseball Championship this year in Las Vegas and enjoyed himself so much that he's returning for football. Robert will be teamed up with Joe Rawlings (the ideal name for the baseball event!) for both events in Las Vegas. We now have 61 signups for the main event in Las Vegas and 125 overall, and 21 signups for the Auction League in Las Vegas. Thanks for your trust and support, guys, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $4,000 in auction league prizes.

I'm glad to welcome another new member to the growing NFFC family as Lewis Lightfoot of Weatherford, Texas signed up for the NFFC's main event and the Draft Champions League in Las Vegas. Lewis will team up with his son, Steve, for the Draft Champions League on Friday, Sept. 2nd and Steve already has his own team in the main event on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. We're glad to bring the family together at this event! Both Steve and Lewis are new to our family of high-stakes events, but both have competed in the WCOFF since 2002 and Lewis is going to stay out in Las Vegas that whole week to do both events this year. Lewis becomes the 62nd entry for the main event in Las Vegas and our 126th overall, and his entry in the Draft Champions League closes out at least one full league as we now have 14 there. Thanks Lewis for your trust and support and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize.

Eddie Gillis of Jamestown, Rhode Island is back in the house as he has signed up for the New York Auction League at the New York Hilton on Friday, Sept. 2nd. Eddie is one of only a handful of participants who has competed in every high-stakes event we've offered. He already was signed up for the main event in New York and now he's adding the auction league. Last year his Roto Pimp team struggled to a 5-8 record and 1,402.45 points, missing the playoffs and a money finish. But most people in that auction remember Eddie for falling backwards off his chair after a surprisingly high bid took him off guard! That's our Eddie. Thanks for your trust and support here once again, Eddie, and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,000 in league prizes.

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

We're glad to welcome back our 91st participant from 2004 to the 2005 event as Kevin Dukesherer of San Diego, California has agreed to join us for the NFFC's main event at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. Kevin is a loyal participant of our high-stakes football and baseball events and he was already signed up for the Las Vegas Auction League. He now becomes our 63rd Las Vegas signup for the main event and our 129th overall. Kevin's Zefurs & TFG team finished 5-8 in Las Vegas League 2 last year with 1,408.75 points and then finished 83rd in the Consolation Bowl with 498.17 points. Best of luck this year, Kevin, in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize and keep up the good work in the NFBC as that prize money will easily cover your 2006 signups! :D

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

We've now filled up our third league for the NFFC's main event in New York as we welcome back our 92nd team from the 2004 event. The father-son tag team of Bob Ashmen of Voorhees, New Jersey and Robert Ashmen of Charlotte, North Carolina have signed up to compete in the NFFC's main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. The Ashmen's led their Sports Memories team to a second place finish in New York League 3 last year, finishing 9-4 with 1,733.10 points. Sports Memories then finished 20th in the Championship Round, scoring 552.72 points in the playoffs. Great job guys and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. This signup now gives us 42 owners in New York for the main event and 130 overall. Keep 'em coming.

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

Kyle Pope and Derek "Lumpy" Anderson were the only participants last year to win the trifecta, winning league titles in Las Vegas in our main event, the Auction League and the Draft Masters League. It was a heckuva accomplishment. Now Kyle and Derek are spreading the word about how much fun the NFFC is and how easy the pickin's are! :D (Just kidding.) Seriously, they are spreading the word and our latest signup comes via their good word. Let's give it up for Kyle's brothers, who are our newest members of the growing NFFC family. David Pope of Houston, Texas and Chris Pope have just signed up to compete in all three events in Las Vegas on Sept. 2-3, signing up for the NFFC's main event, the Auction League and the Draft Champions League. They will tag team on all three events and attempt to win the trifecta just like Kyle and Derek did in 2004. Thanks for joining the fold, guys, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize, the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize and the $4,000 Auction League prize. Oh, and first beers are on us! :D

Let's officially welcome Chris Moneymaker of Nashville, Tennessee to the NFFC here as Chris will be drafting in Las Vegas at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. Chris is being sponsored by scoresandoddsfantasy.com and is a die-hard fantasy football player who knows his football well. Just don't grab Peyton Manning in front of him!!! Chris was the 2003 World Series of Poker champion, a title that netted him $2.5 million. Now he's shooting for our $100,000 grand prize and a $5,000 league prize....and of course another title to call his own. We look forward to having you in Las Vegas, Chris, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000. Thanks again for joining our GROWING NFFC family.
