Post by Tom Kessenich » Tue Aug 16, 2005 10:34 am

Another 2004 participant is back in the saddle, this time out in Vegas as Karch Adonis and his co-owner Jack Lyons return for the 2005 event. The duo went 5-8 last season and are aiming for the top this season. Welcome back guys and good luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Aug 16, 2005 3:49 pm

We begin our seventh league in New York and close in on our 17th full league overall with the arrival of our newest member of the growing NFFC family. Let's give it up for Sean Pasman of New York City, who will claim home field advantage in the NFFC's main event on Saturday, Sept. 3rd at the New York Hilton. Sean contacted me last month and said he was interested in our event and he kept bugging me long enough to finally like what he saw and read online. He kiddingly said he wasn't going to sign up after seeing me on ESPN last night, but I'm glad to see him join nonetheless!!! Thanks Sean and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. Keep the signups coming!

Let's welcome Santo Ciraolo III of Brooklyn, New York, who became our ninth owner in the New York Draft Champions League on Friday, Sept. 2nd at the New York Hilton. Santo is our newest member of the growing NFFC family as he joins us for the 25-round draft in New York. We now have nine owners for that New York league, leaving us with five open spots before we fill that and pick the draft order. Thanks Santo and best of luck in the hunt for the $4,250 first place prize.

We're honored to welcome our newest member of the growing NFFC family, who happens to be a familiar face from our National Fantasy Baseball Championship. Let's give it up for Artie Rastelli of Hoboken, New Jersey, our $100,000 winner from the 2004 National Fantasy Baseball Championship. Artie is currently trying to defend his baseball title, but he's also a big fantasy football player and is looking to become the industry's first dual-sport national champion (okay, Gekko is trying to do that now too!). Artie will be drafting in the NFFC's main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd as we're working on our seventh league there. Welcome aboard Artie and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We keep the signups coming for New York by welcoming Larry Schechter of Rexford, New York to the NFFC's main event. Larry is currently competing in our National Fantasy Baseball Championship and having a good time. He was the 2002 CDM Fantasy Sports Diamond Challenge winner and this year he's trying to become the first two-time Diamond Challenge winner as he's currently second overall in that contest. Larry joins the NFFC for the first time this year and will be drafting in the main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. Thanks for your trust and support once again, Larry, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

Okay, we've officially filled up our 17th league for the main event as we welcome back our highest finisher from 2004 who wasn't already signed up. Phillip McDonald of Huntsville, Alabama has been a loyal participant in all of our events and he's won some money from us as well. I knew he would be back to the NFFC, but he had to wait on his work schedule and travel plans before officially committing to us. Now he's in and in a big way. Phillip will be flying to Las Vegas for a second straight year, joining the NFFC's main event at the Palace Station and the Draft Champions League on Friday, Sept. 2nd. He wants to return to the Auction League and is ready to take an open spot if anyone backs out. Last year, Phillip's Big Mac Attack finished 9-4 in Las Vegas League 6 to finish second, although he was third overall in the entire contest with 1,926.8 points. Big Mac Attack then finished 19th in the Championship Round with 553.87 points. Big Mac Attack also finished eighth in the Draft Champions League with 2,171.85 points and won a division title in the Auction League with an 8-5 record, before losing in the semi-finals to the eventual champion Lumpy's Losers and losing the third place game to Let's Go Chiefs. Great job last year, Phillip, and best of luck this year in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize, the $5,000 league prize and the $4,250 Draft Champions League prize.

"Bueller, Bueller?" ;) And we think we have that 14th owner ready to jump in!!!

That would close the auction leagues in all three cities and double our total of leagues from last year. Thanks everyone.
