Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Aug 24, 2005 10:46 am

We still have NFFC members from 2004 who are straggling in at the end and of course I'll still take them! :D Let's welcome back our 155th owner from 2004 as Michael Ratajczyk of Lansing, Michigan will be returning to Las Vegas for the NFFC's main event on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. We're one more signup away from closing up our seventh full league in Las Vegas and we're also closing in on our 19th full league overall. Mike competed in Meat Loaf's league last year -- Las Vegas League 1 -- and led his Walking Wounded team to a 6-7 record and 1,558 points, good enough for 128th overall. Walking Wounded also finished 56th overall in the Consolation Round with 556.0 points. Thanks for making the travel plans work, Mike, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

John Dullaghan of Middletown, New York becomes our 156th owner from 2004 to return in 2005 as he has grabbed the final spot in our seventh full league in New York. John led his Jets Diehard team to a 5-8 record in New York League 1 last year, finishing with 1,479.15 points during the regular season and 407.34 points during the Consolation Round. John is ready big-time for this year's event and can't wait for Draft Day to come around. Thanks again John for your trust and support and good luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

I'm already taking signups for an eighth league in New York and I'm confident we can fill it as I have a couple of applications on my desk now. Let's keep 'em coming.

Russell Bliss of Ready-Set-Go Fantasy Sports will officially sign up for the Las Vegas Draft Champions League tomorrow, giving us 26 owners there. I just wanted to announce that because that gives us two more open spots in Las Vegas. I'm confident that James Bores will also be joining us in New York, so let's keep 'em going and fill up leagues in all three cities.

Eddie Gillis was splitting a Draft Champions team with Johnny Frisella before today, but after seeing that we were close to filling that one up, he opted to grab his own team and compete once again with his good buddy. They don't make 'em more loyal than Eddie, I'll tell you that. You're in 'em all again, Eddie, so thanks.

Matthew Bayley is also diving into the New York Draft Champions League, giving us 12 owners there now for that one. Let's get two more signups and close out that league before the Sunday midnight deadline. I'll pick the draft slots as soon as we fill that one up. Thanks guys and let's keep it going.

Our friend Hector Castro from Auction Players.com has decided to take the plunge and join us for the draft on Sept. 3 at the Hilton in NY. With Hector's sign-up we now have 7 full leagues in NY. We'd love to get one more full league in New York so let's get a big push for the weekend and add another league. How's that sound? And thanks for joining us Hector and good luck in the quest for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

One of our NFBC participants is joining us for football as John Paolucci will be heading to NY on Sept. 3 at the Hilton. John is leading his NY league in the NFBC and is hoping for big things in football as well. Welcome aboard John and good luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Just an FYI: We did lose two early signups in New York as John Briganti and Rob Nikc had commitments that were unexpected. We're still working on that seventh league in New York, so keep 'em coming. Gotta make sure everyone on that list is paid and committed before I leave for Vegas on Tuesday morning!!!

Eddy Betancourt has done it again, signing up for the Draft Champions League in New York after he heard from top salesman Marc Quitsch (and former partner) and saw that Eddie Gillis was jumping in. Eddy wants to see Eddie fall off his chair one more time this year!!! Anyway, that brings us to 13 owners in New York. ONE SPOT LEFT!!! Thanks Eddy and let's get that final owner over night and I'll pick the draft slots tomorrow. Oh, and good luck in the hunt for the $4,250 first place prize.
