Who's Coming To The 2005 NFFC?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sat Aug 27, 2005 1:06 am

Scott Wieland of Madison, Wisconsin was holding out hope that the $1,250 Auction League would be held on Saturday night, but with owners not willing to do a teleconference he decided to change his signup to the main event. He becomes the 97th member out in Las Vegas, giving us one open spot before we close that out. We are now set to close out the signups at 266 and go with 19 full leagues. Thanks Scott and good luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. If you win the $100K, I'll drive to Madison and we'll do a "unique" check presentation there!!!

Artie Rastelli of Hoboken, New Jersey has grabbed the final Draft Champions League spot in New York. We have one tentative owner there, so I have to wait to hear back from him before picking the draft spots. If anyone else wants in, let me know. Otherwise, WE HAVE A FULL LEAGUE!!!

Thanks Artie and this will be fun. See ya.

Thanks Artie and this will be fun. See ya. Greg. Sorry that I missed your call this morning. It's been a madhouse around here. I need to speak to you. You may call me today on my cell at 609-H-O-A-G-I-E-S. I think that all is worked out and we'll be fine. Still interested in the Draft Champion spot if it's still available. If you don't reach me today, call the office number on Sunday...yeah, I'll be working on that day as well. Talk to you soon.

Good news Richie. I'll call you soon and lock this in. Then we have 14 owners for the Draft Champions in New York. And if you and Tom are good to go for the main event, then we're good there too. Thanks man.

Michael Davis of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and Ralph Giordano snuck in under the wire to grab one of the remaining spots in the NFFC's main event as they are scheduled to draft at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. Michael and Ralph are new to our high-stakes events and we'll welcome them next week with free gifts and free drinks. Thanks guys for joining the group and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We have confirmed every signup and we now have live bodies for 7 full leagues in New York and we have one spot left in Las Vegas. We still have three spots open in Chicago and we can patch owners into that final league, but let's give a shout out to the Midwest and get three more owners into those seats. First four signups that come in, however, we'll work it out. Thanks everyone and 266 it is!!! Let the games begin!

I never officially welcomed Lori Rubinson to the NFFC, so I'll do it now. Lori will be representing CreativeSports.com in New York and competing in the NFFC's main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. I met Lori last year as she competed in the MLB.com Experts League with me (finished ahead of me, too) after her stint on the Dream Job on ESPN. Lori still does some radio work with WFAN in New York and would love to add this title to her resume. Thanks Lawr Michaels and the whole gang at CreativeSports.com and best of luck Lori in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Rodney Saylor of Easton, Pennsylvania was our final signup of 2004 and he came close to duplicating that honor in 2005. Rodney just signed up for the NFFC's main event at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd and we're glad to have him back in the big event. We'll figure out the mix and match with Chicago once all is said and done, but for now thanks for coming back Rodney and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

John Asfar of Red Bank New Jersey becomes our latest signup to join the NFFC's main event as he is scheduled to join us at the New York Hilton on Saturday, Sept. 3rd. John is new to our high-stakes events and we welcome him just before the deadline. We'll get him in as we now have 102 signups in New York. Keep 'em coming as the signup deadline is midnight tomorrow. Thanks John and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Let's officially welcome Bret & Nancy Borg to the Draft Champions League in Las Vegas as we are VERY close to filling two leagues in Las Vegas. Nancy was our "Vanna White" of the sticker boards last year in one of our Las Vegas Auction Leagues and they teamed up in Las Vegas League 5 in the main event. Bret & Nancy are already signed up for the main event this year and now I'm glad to welcome them to the Draft Champions League on Friday morning. Awesome and thanks. Best of luck Wedded Blitz in the hunt for the $4,250 first place prize and we'll see you on Friday morning at the Excalibur and then on Saturday at the Palace Station.

We have one tentative owner in Las Vegas, so we'll take one more signup for this if you're interested. We have 9 Draft Champions League owners in Chicago, but I'm confident we'll get to 12 with a phone hookup there. Hang tight Windy City participants and we'll have more news soon.
