To keep the conversation going, I went back and checked to see the draft William del Pilar of KFFL.com had two years ago when he beat me for the league title. He drafted RB-RB (Dom Davis and Rudi Johnson) and then took Gonzalez in the third and McNabb in the fourth.

His first WR? Keenan McCardell in the sixth round. He followed that up with Peter Warrick in the seventh before snaring Larry Fitzgerald in the eighth. #3 and #9 RB
#3 QB
#1 TE

Four picks - four homeruns, Grand Slams even, considering where they were drafted. In this case, the WR position was vertually irrelevant as this team was dominant regardless. Certainly shows how important first rounds are.
[/QUOTE]Yup and it also shows how you can win big in a flex league without a dominant WR. As I stated earlier, my team that finished second to William's that year also did not draft a stud WR early. So the top two teams in the league that year got to the title game without using an early round pick on a WR.

the point is that you can win with many different strategies (except taking barlow in the 3rd). to narrow your stratgies too much may hurt you in the end
