Who's Coming To The 2010 NFFC In Las Vegas?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue May 18, 2010 5:36 am

We're proud to announce that we will be hosting our seventh annual NFFC event at the finest resort and casino in Las Vegas. Yes, the Bellagio Resort & Casino will be our home base for 2010 over Labor Day weekend. We will announce a special room rate shortly and get folks set up to stay with us if they'd like. We hosted our baseball event at the Bellagio in March and the facility is fantastic for our live drafts.

This thread is devoted to the folks who are signing up in Las Vegas so that everyone knows who they can meet and socialize with, along with who they might have to beat for the league titles. I'll update this thread with each new signup and we'll use this to introduce the participants when I have time. Welcome aboard all and feel free to say hello to your drafting peers within this thread.

Oh, and yours truly will be your friendly host in Las Vegas once again. Corona's are the drink of choice when I'm buying, but umbrella drinks are allowed!! :D Just get ready to draft on time, to be polite to your elders and to accept free beers when I offer!! :D See ya in Sin City!!

Here's the official Las Vegas signup thread:

Who's Coming To The 2010 NFFC In Las Vegas?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun May 23, 2010 4:08 am

Okay, we already have one full NFFC Classic league in Las Vegas and we're already working on our second one today. Thanks to Maris Brenner of Sandusky, Ohio and Duke Viveros of Highland, California for signing up for the main event doubleheaders over the weekend. Duke is a six-year NFFC veteran who is back with us at the Bellagio in Las Vegas after being there for baseball and he's also taking a three-pack in the Online Championship. Welcome back Duke and thanks.

Maris has been with us the last three years now and she loves the live football draft in Las Vegas. She's back for the main event doubleheader at the Bellagio and she even took a spot in the Friday 11 am Draft Champions Championship. Maris and Jules McLean comprise half of the field right now and I must say our female counterparts already have this league won from the good looks department!! :D Welcome aboard ladies and let's have some fun in Sin City this September!! :D

Thanks all and keep the signups comin'.

We're glad to welcome back the veteran tag team of Kyle Pope of Shelby Township, Michigan and Derek Anderson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the NFFC for a seventh straight season. Kyle and Lumpy are among the winningest owners we've had in our contest since it debuted in 2004, having won four Draft Champions League titles and two NFFC Classic main event league titles. I know they have other satellite league titles and even a Primetime league title, but the four DCs and two Classics stand out. Now they're coming back to Las Vegas to compete in both main events and both Draft Champions Leagues as they are determined to win the debut Draft Champions Championship League title!!

Welcome back guys!! We're glad to start getting the old guard back with us as this season is going to be a LOT of fun. See ya at the Bellagio guys.

Whatever the case, welcome back! [/QUOTE]Kyle is raising two youngsters and won't be in Las Vegas, but he's still willing to be co-owner of the Lumpy's Losers franchise and trust Lumpy to take control in Las Vegas. Lumpy will be there to draft and the two will run the team throughout the season. I'm glad to keep them in the NFFC as they are second in the Classic Lifetime Standings as well as being one of our best DC teams ever.

We have two guaranteed spots left for the 11 a.m. Draft Champions League in Las Vegas if anyone wants to lock in a spot at that time. We currently have 12 owners signed up for that time now, leaving us with two openings. We can try for a second DC league at that time and we also have a DC that is filling up at 4 p.m. PT, but just a heads up if you definitely want to compete at 11 a.m. PT.

Here's the current lineup card for that one:
