Often when topics like this are brought up the MB community will form a majority and any opposing view will be counter pointed to death in an attempt to get everyone to think the same.

That's OK with me because I probably won't read your response anyway.

My vote is no. If we have this change I simply won't play. You drafted E.Royal and he's sucked all year and now you want return TD's to somehow ease your pain.

Boo hoo...cry me a river. This is FF which is full of luck and requires much preparation and analysis but zero skill. (oops..wrong topic) E.Royal owners aren't lucky this year...neither are S.Smith (Car) owners or M.Forte owners or...well you get the point.

Those with Denvers defense already got points from E.Royal. If anyone else wants points from ER write Orton a letter and tell him to throw Eddie the damn ball!

Yeah...I said it....now I'm going back in my cave. ;)
Have fun debating this one for 10 more pages. :D Jeff,

Nobody is asking for points from him NOW (certainly not me). Like I have said (ad naseum), my beef lies with the people who were BEAT because their opponent had Denver's defense and THEIR OWN player gave their opponent points, but they got NOTHING for it. I feel the same way for Darren Sproles owners (who returned ONLY one), and I don't own him ANYWHERE (or ANYONE who returns a TD).

And if the rules changed next year, yes you would play!

What else would you do with yourself????

There is one thing I can take away from this thread.

People are actually responding to Bob's posts like they understand what he actually said. It's a new beginning for Bob. :D

Jeff C. - If this rule changed, we all know that you would be back in Chicago next year. You would miss us and football way too much.

The more I read this thread the more it amazes me how smart people and fantasy football experts can get off on such tangents so often.

This isn't about "double dipping."

This isn't about Eddie Royal.

I don't think there have been "sour grapes" from anyone.

If anyone wants to understand what this discussion SHOULD be about... go back to page 7 and re-read the 3 posts in a row by "Henry Muto."

He gets it.

We are talking about an occurance that would SELDOM happen. I find it hard to believe even ONE NFFC PLAYER would ever draft a guy specifically to get the occasional 6 points on the select time or two he might return a kick in a game. I dare that player to repeatedly start a return specialist in his lineup hoping for that to happen. I also doubt it would add much (if any) value to a sproles, L. washington, Royal, Hester as it relates to their regular draft position for what they expected to produce on offense.

This is about providing SOME protection for the 5-10 viable fantasy players who also at times return kicks and thus provide situations where you are ROOTING AGAINST your own player so he does not score and thus take away a full possession full of opportunities for him to produce fantasy points on offense.

While I do not have very strong personal feelings on the topic either way... I do see how it makes some sense and is simply another smaller thing that over the years would/could be added to the game to streamline it and make it better. It impacts very little, but offers a safety net to keep a disaster type ending (like examples given by some here) that could happen with a $100,000 on a line.

My son says 'Henry Gets IT' Defensive wins Championships!

Defensive get credit for Punt and Kick returns for TD's. Why should they.

How does this sound Punt Returner and Kick returner get the credit but not the Defensive.
So Eddie Royal would get 12 points and Denver would have just got 7 points.

So how why even have DT as a roster spot?
Yards allowed, the better the DT the less they give up a game the more points they get.

So a pick 6 and a return of a fumble still would be 8 points for the Defensive.

0-100=10 points
101-150=7
151-200=3
201-250=1
251-300=-1
301- =-4

Something Like that.

Defensive Scoring:

What does everyone think? Of course I played in a League like this, I can try to see what the break down was, but I'm sure Greg and Tom can come up with something that works as far as points for yards allowed.

John

PS. Please no calls no this matter. :D
