It looks like we have finalized our Chicago plans for 2008. As I stated earlier, the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott sold the space for Labor Day weekend a year ago and the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center also has a big convention space that weekend that eliminated all of their space.
But we have found a nice hotel to work with, one that we now host our SportsFest show each summer at. It's the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center and we have so much space for the NFFC main event that we'll need to close some of it off. It's a newer facility and the hotel is very nice. I believe it is a 15 or 20 minute cab ride from O'Hare for anyone flying into the Windy City.
Once we finalize this deal, we'll update the rules, Schedule of Events and everything else. All four cities are almost complete and I've rewritten the rules and everything else. So look for all of that soon.
If anyone from Chicago has comments on this location or can provide driving instructions compared to the Chicago Oakbrook Marriott, we'd appreciate it. Thanks all and welcome back to the Windy City in 2008!!

Chicago Location For 2008
Bad - It adds 40 minutes each way to my commute.
Good - Maybe I'll bring the wife and turn her loose on nearby Woodfield Mall while I draft. That will earn me brownie points during a busy fantasy football draft season.
I do not know the specific location or hotel. But Schaumburg is very easy to get to, as numerous Interstates converge nearby - I 90, I 290, I 355. It is also much closer for the gamblers to go to Elgin.

We run another show there last year and we were concerned about moving from Rosemont to Schaumburg, but it turned out to be a huge success and we're going back there this June. So it's not hard to find and it's not Downtown, either.
Bring the wife Jack. Hopefully I'll see ya at the ESPN event again.

Not familliar with the hotel, but Schaumburg has many shopping and dining options. On a Saturday, it's a 20 to 25 minute drive from the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin (owned by the same group that owns Mandlay Bay), and about that far north, northwest from the previous location in Oakbrook. As it's right off the intersection of I-90 & and I-290, it should be easy for most to find.
