Big Ben was Tebowing last night.

Seriously, if you're a Roethlisberger owner and started him you're living a charmed life today. That could have been a huge disaster during a critical fantasy week. Instead, it turned into a big fantasy game.

Sorry but Ben did not play at a "high level" after the sprain.

If Haden doesn't fall down Brown gets the first down and they kill the clock. Haden falling down doesn't = Big Ben playing at a high level.

Toughest guy ever though.

He was about 9-13 for 180ish yards and a TD. He had several passes dropped. People can nitpick individual plays all day long. Last I checked big plays count and part of why the defender fell down was because the WR and QB made such a good play. Bottom line is Ben identified Brown with single coverage, they made a signal to throw to the back shoulder... he made the play, the defender fell and the Steelers had a game winning play via the pass.

He made a couple great 3rd down throws to extend drives. The one INT he made was a super play by the defender peeling off the receiver he was covering and making a play on a ball that was a perfect pass to the intended receiver. Tip your hat to the DB.

I would respectfully disagree... I believe Ben played at a high level in the second half on one leg.

You are right, 9-13 for 180 and 1, he had 90 and the TD in the first half...so 90 yards no TDs in the 2nd half. Definitely a high level...my bad.

What I said was Roethlisberger's fantasy game went from awful to great in a blink which is correct.

In fact, it would be a great example of why Ben had a great night. You were trying to take plays away from Tebow. I'm not doing that at all so you appear to be trying to create an argument where none should exist.

You essentially said that those who started Ben should feel charmed because of how close that was to being an awful fantasy game - the same thing I said about several of Tebow's games.

But that's not the same as trying to take plays away from Tebow's production as a means to devalue what he's done. That's what you have done and what I took objection to. I'm not doing that in the slightest bit with Ben. At no time have I said that big play to Brown should be removed from the context of evaluating his play - real or fantasy-related. So at no time have I contradicted my earlier statement that you just now linked to.

If you want to ask me if I feel charmed for how many times Tebow has made chicken salad out of chicken s**t you're darn right I have been with Tebow. I've never denied that. I even emailed my best friend in my top league who owns Roethlisberger and told him now he knows how I feel watching Tebow every week.
