Thursday Night Predictions

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Sep 04, 2008 8:31 am

Okay, it's almost time for the start of the season. Let's see some predictions for tonight's opener between the Redskins and Giants:

I'll take the Giants to cover tonight. I'm not sold on the new Jim Zorn Redskins.

I'll take Clinton Portis to score the first touchdown of 2008.

I'll take Eli Manning to throw the first TD pass to Kevin Boss!! :D Why not.

Any other thoughts? I think I still have jet-lag, or at least Las Vegas-lag. I just can't get the energy back. Anyone else like that? :D

Sucker pick Giants.
Redskins cover, take the 4 points.

I'll say Portis and Jacobs gain 5.0 each per carry and the score is kept reasonable with all the solid rushing 24-21.

First TD is Eli to Burress.

Redskins win this game tonight, and the "bring Michael Strahan back/Super Bowl hangover" begins for the Giants.

I'm actually getting my energy back Greg after 7 hours of sleep last night (which was half of what I got in 4 nights in Vegas! )

I'm playing against Eli in the NFFC, NBC, and Chicago auction league - he doesn't need to be throwing any TD passes tonight! ;) I'm also going against Plax in the nffc and nbc plus Boss in one of those 2. The Giants need to run the ball every down tonight!

I'll take Jacobs scoring the first TD this year.

First TD ... Manning to Burress.

looking forward to halftime. They better hype this weekends games or I will be very disappointed.

Giants win ... no one is really picking the redskins .... right?

Boss has two catches for 11 yards.

i like Brandon Jacobs to score 3x and get on pace to score 25td's this year. he will stay healthy and be a horse at the goaline.. Ahmad and Ward will spell him to keep him fresh so he won't wear down.. This guy will dominate tonight. Redskins are hurting up front.

I'll say first TD is by Giants Defense. Giants to win by about 10. Maybe, 24-14. Portis under 100 yards...
Projection 2010: Either winning my Classic LV/Chicago Dual League, or making it to the Catalina Wine Mixer.
