draft day

I wanted to get finished so that I can go watch the opening weekend of college football. It would have been great if it would have started at 10:00 instead of 12:00. Regardless, I had a great time in Chicago.

We're talking 60 seconds here. If someone wants to use all of it, that's their perogative.

On another note, I'd love to draft with people taking Jimmy Smith all day!

I could not agree more. In a world where peoples attention spans continue to get smaller and everyone is in a rush and everyone needs to have what they want NOW i guess we should not be surprised it has made its way into fantasy football.... when people get upset about those who spent nearly $1300 DARING to take their entire allowed SIXTY SECONDS to make a good choice that they feel comfortable about on a player, I think we have a problem.

If everyone took the full minute, the draft would be 4:30 with a 15-minute break.

Given that most of the drafts took about 3 hours, that is 252 picks in 165 minutes, meaning the pick rate was 1 pick every 40 seconds.

I think that's pretty reasonable.

FYPM -- you should get together with Z-men and organize a 20 second limit fantasy football draft, with bleachers and velvet ropes to keep the crowds from bothering the drafters.

I usally burn up 20 to 30 seconds , just double checking in case i missed someone, even though i know my pick.AND yes i have missed guys before , this is why i double check.This year at 5th round pick 1 , i missed Tatum Bell, thought he was drafted and wasnt , took Todd Heap , who im pretty happy with , would i have taken BELL , would have been a close call, but could have.Gantze Machers , no loyalty for TOMILSON, he's going to make you regret that.LOL.
