We're talking 60 seconds here. If someone wants to use all of it, that's their perogative.
On another note, I'd love to draft with people taking Jimmy Smith all day!

gantze,
I could not agree more. In a world where peoples attention spans continue to get smaller and everyone is in a rush and everyone needs to have what they want NOW i guess we should not be surprised it has made its way into fantasy football.... when people get upset about those who spent nearly $1300 DARING to take their entire allowed SIXTY SECONDS to make a good choice that they feel comfortable about on a player, I think we have a problem.

If everyone took the full minute, the draft would be 4:30 with a 15-minute break.
Given that most of the drafts took about 3 hours, that is 252 picks in 165 minutes, meaning the pick rate was 1 pick every 40 seconds.
I think that's pretty reasonable.
FYPM -- you should get together with Z-men and organize a 20 second limit fantasy football draft, with bleachers and velvet ropes to keep the crowds from bothering the drafters.

Hello. My name is Lee Scoresby. I come from Texas, like flying hot-air balloons, being eaten by talking polar bears and fantasy football.

I usally burn up 20 to 30 seconds , just double checking in case i missed someone, even though i know my pick.AND yes i have missed guys before , this is why i double check. This year at 5th round pick 1 , i missed Tatum Bell, thought he was drafted and wasnt , took Todd Heap , who im pretty happy with , would i have taken BELL , would have been a close call, but could have.Gantze Machers , no loyalty for TOMILSON, he's going to make you regret that.LOL.

This was my first year in the NFFC. I enjoyed my experience, but for the money invested, I thought there would be people more prepared than they were. Maybe it's me, but there were too may times in my draft that people were stunned or unprepared to pick. For a person with 16 years of experience of fantasy football, I was prepared and had back-up plans ready to cover all scenarios. Too many times people took there alotted time in the first two rounds. To me this doesn't make sense. Maybe I'm in the minority, but these people should be the best of the best and actually yhey were just mediocre. Just my opinion, but I thought it should be said. UPDATE: You're in 13th place in New York 8, and 297th out of 322 teams overall. So much for mediocre competition!
