Good point, JP. The problem with Bell though is he can't survive practice netherlone a game. A broken middle finger on the right hand in a splint is what I would call fumbles waiting to happen, not a threat. And that's an injury that will stay with him all year. But just for grins, what is Bell's ADP.

I see Greg's team is solid; however I doubt Chad Johnson will last until pick 8, 3rd round in most leagues. He got very lucky getting Chad to solidify that position. I like K-Rob but would hate having to rely on K-Rob, KJ and Rice without a stud like Chad. It gave Greg the luxury of taking Dunn and Jackson in rounds 4 and 5 and still getting K-Rob in 6. I also doubt you can count on finding K-Rob in round 6.

Overall, luck and good drafting by Greg. I have to question some of the other "experts" allowing guys like Chad to fall that deep with 1 point per reception.

It is strange that Delhomme is falling that deep in so many mocks and even in this "expert" league. People will draft Steve Smith by round 3 or 4 and yet have no faith in the QB that almost won the Super Bowl. Tom Brady also gets little respect from drafters. I'll be happy to have both on my team if I can get them that late and pick top WR's and RB's instead.

I was pretty happy to see Johnson there. I was going to take another RB in that round and then start loading up on WRs, but with Johnson there, I couldn't pass on him. I also had a good feeling a solid RB3 would be around in the next round and Dunn was there. Again, given the 1 point/reception rule, Dunn has very nice value.

Now that Tom did all the heavy lifting for me and put together a solid team while I was on the phone all afternoon, it's time for me to invite the evening crowd to the Message Boards and talk about this draft and more. Man, I love seeing finished draft results that involve people in the industry. I must admit that Quentin Griffin going that high surprised me and seeing Koren Robinson and Chad Johnson there for us was awesome. I'm in for talking football all night, so let's keep the talk going on this draft and more tonight.

I like him a lot this season and I hope he keeps hiding under the radar so I can grab him as my No. 2 QB in my main league's draft. See this one?... Carolina cut Todd Steussie. Kevin Donnalley and Adam Meadows retired. And Jeno James signed with Miami.

He did have a good playoff run, but the OL will get you every time. Downgrade Davis and Delhomme on your cheatsheets.

In looking at the Sirius Radio draft that Tom posted here and last night's NFFC Mock Draft that is posted in that section, several interesting things in the first round come to mind. Here's my take:

1. Priest and LT go 1-2, as expected. But the order of the next four were different: 3. Alexander, 4. Portis, 5. Green and 6. McAllister in the Sirius draft and 3. Green, 4. McAllister, 5. Alexander and 6. Portis in the mock draft. Interesting.

2. Moss went seventh in one draft and eighth in the other; Edgerrin James flip-flopped there with Moss. Again, interesting.

3. Jamal Lewis and his legal problems forced him out of the first round in the Sirius draft and to 10th in the NFFC Mock draft. Harrison and Holt are now getting some first round love with Lewis in trouble and Faulk hurting. Fred Taylor and Kevan Barlow likely remain in the first round.

It's hard to remember a year where the first round was so confusing. I blame it all on Ricky Williams and his habit, but even since his retirement things have changed a lot. Picking in the second half of the first round is going to be very, very interesting this year.

Thoughts?

I think that everyone's feelings are that basically picks one through six are set and there will be more pressure on picks seven through fourteen to get solid starters. Most owners will try to set their starting runningbacks up while some owners will dip into the Moss and Harrison pool. I feel that in the NFFC most owners will go for the safe pick..with a low stakes game the number of teams are lower ( ten to twelve )that leaves better chance of handcuffing players and having deeper benches. I know I take a Jamal Lewis in a low stakes.... his upside is huge...
