With all due respect to the author, becaue that clearly took some serious time.

3RR is not a fix in and of itself if you consider that the middle of the draft is NOT effected by it. It's also been discussed on these boards as a basis to make sure potential customers were not turned away by the perceived lack of ability to win from later in the draft.

It's just not overwhelming me in drafts so far BY ITSELF.

Combined with KDS, I have to say you've done an excellent job. KDS really does make a ton of sence in EVERY draft. I think that saves 3RR, it gives control, and removes the "I can't win from there" worry.

The aritcle is meaningless. It goes into a ton of details about what the numbers say as churned out by the FBG pick calculator, but never explains any of the logic behind that calculator. Thus, you can't draw any concrete conclusions off of this.

Also, if you had the same person picking first in rounds 2, 3, and 4, and even rounds after that, it makes no sense that the gap between pick 1 and 14 would continue to close after round 4, as it's returned to being a regular snake draft at that point. Logic dictates that the pick values should start getting wider again (even if it's a small amount) between picks 1 and 14 in every set of two rounds after round four. This further calls into question the assumptions that this author made before crunching any numbers.

3RR is the way of the future. I know of one other high stakes contest using it this year, and it won't be long before others follow.
