Time To Finalize Draft Champions Leagues
We have a bit of a mess when it comes to the debut NFFC Draft Champions Championship and it's time to make a decision on this very soon. I look forward to naming a national champion in this format, but in order to do that we need to look at each city quickly and determine how we're going to piece this puzzle together.
Right now Las Vegas is the only city one full league, with an outside shot at a second league. But there are some owners who want to do a $1300 DC with expanded league prizes and I'm all in favor of that. But as you can suspect, it might cause more problems in all four cities, which is my concern.
So it's time to solve this problem and move on. Below is a list of the current signups in each city. We jumped out early with 50+ signups for this by July 1, but since then we've seen some people move to other cities and some even jump out of this event and into other NFFC events. Now we are struggling to fill four combined leagues when I thought we'd have 5 or 6.
So I'll post the list of signups here and if anyone wants to jump into this event they need to do so very soon. This is not an easy one to solve. And if the interest in the $1300 DC is strong by Friday, I'll piece it all together and make it happen. I want to keep the national contest in place, but the numbers need to improve or otherwise we're just looking at a couple of combined local leagues like we had before. Let's get this resolved and make it happen.
Okay, who wants to join the fun? And can we combine cities after getting more signups to make this work with the time zones? We'll find out shortly, I promise.
Here's the current signup list:

Greg, we can still make this work with minor adjustments.
Get just two more players so that we have 56 signups total, enough for 4 leagues.
Make all leagues mixed amongst the different cities except for one full Vegas league.
Make one of the leagues $1300 to accomodate those who have expressed interest in that upgrade.
Stagger one league to a later time so those with dual signups or signed up for the later time can play (I believe 7 signups would currently benefit from that option).
Keep league prizes the same.
Leave the first to fifth place overall prizes the same and just eliminate the 6th and 7th place awards to accomodate the drop from 6 to 4 leagues. If late signups add a fifth league, you return the 6th & 7th place prizes to the contest. That'll keep the Fanball/NFFC cut at over 10% and the essense of the contest the same either way.
Just a suggestion. Hope it helps.

Glenn's suggestions are close to what I was thinking. Close.

Time To Finalize Draft Champions Leagues
Okay, I will piece this $1300 DC league together if we can and it doesn't kill the Las Vegas full league. But we need to fill it soon and we have to figure out how it works in New York, which needs some help.
Anyway, here's the tentative list of owners who said they would do a $1300 DC if we filled it. Let me know if you've changed your mind or moved to something else. Also let me know if this interests you enough to join us in a teleconference league with picks made on the site:
$1,300 Draft Champions League
Friday, Sept. 4th, 1 pm ET/10 am PT
1. Glenn Schroter
2. Glenn Lowy
3. Jules McLean (LV)
4. Joe Berg
5. Derek Anderson (LV)
6. Joe Conte
7. Ken Magner (tentative, LV)
8. Mark Moyer (LV)
9. Terry Lewis
10. Armanda Hanson
11. Brian Zeid
Did I miss anyone?

Time To Finalize Draft Champions Leagues
We didn't make any movement on the $1300 DC in the last day, so we'll just keep pushing ahead with each city for now and see where it takes us. We need a lot of help to make this work out in each city, but at least we took one step closer in Las Vegas. Silas Dain is doing the Classic, the Auction League and now the DC League on Friday at 11 am. That gives us 23 teams in Las Vegas, five short of a second full league. Let's keep it going and fill up both leagues with me at the Bellagio. Sound good?
Here's the current lineup card in Las Vegas:

Hey Greg, I can do the $1300 DC if that makes it easier. I will do regular or 1300, whichever is more helpful for you.
