Claim Your NFFC Prizes

If anyone has any prize discrepencies or troubles getting into your account, email Tom at [email protected]. He will forward those findings directly to our IT contact in St. Louis and have a more concise list to work from. I don't think it will get done faster if individual folks contact Customer Service. Just email Tom and we'll handle this directly. Thanks and we'll correct this before the first payments go out next week.

But it shows significantly less than that. Can Tom help with this? I need that check asap so I can take a massive golf trip.

kidding aside, I want to thank the guys (glenX) who outline for computer ignorant people like me how to get through the process. I have no idea what "clearing a cache" means but I was able to find my prizes.

Thanks.

Interesting...problems? It seems that the problems with prize accounting are varied and numerous and not specific to one issue or one account. You would think with an apparent bug in the system that Fanball would correct the issues and then post a "good to go" rather a group of customers trying to individually chase down problems.
Clean the Cache? After a long fantasy season my wife has a list of other items that need to be cleaned and Cache is not one of them.

Did everyone's 1099 you recently received look right from the winnings from last year? Mine is way off. Did Fanball subtract off the entry fees before sending you the 1099 amount? If they did subtract off entry fees before reporting the winnings, were they subtracting off the entry fees from the 2009-10 league (fees paid in 2009)? How can they subtract off payments from 2009 from winnings in 2010?

No matter what they did, the amount doesn't make sense. I paid about $4K in entry fees both last year and this year. In 2010 my winnings were $5,800 and yet my 1099 says my winnings were $4,050. Any math majors out there that can figure out how they came up with that?

I have another question. My tax advisor is saying I have to pay State taxes in Wisconsin on the entire amount of the 1099 even if I can deduct that whole amount off my Federal taxes for the entry fees. That is total crap that I pay $4K, get $4K back, but then have to pay 7% tax on the $4K "earnings". Anyone else have that problem? Agree/disagree with my advisor?

I really would want my entry fees deducted off my 1099 total before they send it to me if that is the case.
