sorry i missed this thread until now.

so at this point at least two message board regulars are temporary leaving. this is a sad day, as both of you brought a lot to the message boards and are respected members.

if i had to guess the cause, i'd say it's renman. if he is the reason, when you return to the MB and read this, please email or call Tom and let him know. he said "If there are issues that come up on the board, I ask all of you to contact me or Greg and we'll look into it."

this certainly qualifies as an issue IMO. thanks guys.

I am trying to figure out what is more drama filled... MTV's the "real world" or this thread... Tough call...

Gekko, how about the 890 posts of hostility packed threads that you and your pals were in the middle of where viscious fighting was going back and forth and I never posted once in the thread?

You guys are hysterical...

if anyone is having problems understanding and/or is confused by tom's guidance as to what to do when MB issues come up...here it is again. thank you in advance to anyone this applies to. if you need further clarification, please see tom. double thanks.

Renman ... Rather than make fun of others who are fed up and leaving the MB ... how about you and me make a wager.

The past is the past. No matter how much better the Tomatoes have done than you in the NFFC in the past. It’s 2006 so lets get over it and move forward.

You have already pointed out what a miserable season the Tomatoes must be having ... and its true of course as we did have higher expectations for our teams.

So here’s the plan … we bet on who has the better NFFC season (knowing full you’re your team is making the post season and ours probably won’t make it). Who ever takes the most in prizes from the NFFC this year wins the contest (a free entry counts as $1250 for example).

Here’s where it gets interesting … the loser has a self imposed banishment from the main message boards for 2007 (or longer if you want). Winner can start posting on any thread he wants on the Wednesday after week 16.

Also … You and I will restrict ourselves to posting on only one thread on the main MB for the rest of this year. On that thread you can make fun of me or my teams if you want (I’ll provide you the data to do it) … or we’ll talk about serious football if you want and it will be a serious thread … whatever you decide. So long as we are both restricted to that thread the rest of this year.

The Wednesday after week 16 … I’ll be banished from the main MB till the end of Jan 1, 2008. Unless of course a miracle happens and the Tomatoes actually happen to win more in cash and free credits towards entry than you … then you are banished.

It’s an interesting bet and the stakes are bigger than cash (not to mention that your team is like a sure thing to win $2500 and you of course that would win you the bet if the season ended today ... you will also win the bet if your team does well in the post season as we are very limited on the high end as our Main team probably won't make the postseason).

Well? Want to make the rest of this season interesting? Or do you just want to talk a good talk?

I don't like this bet at all.

I happen to like what both of you guys have to say about Fantasy Football, aside from the personal bombs lobbed back and forth.

Personally, I wouldn't want either one of you "banished" from the boards, so I vote "NO" on this bet (as though I even have a vote...hey, this is starting to sound like my own household!)

UYT Ugly,

I just noticed this post and very easily could have missed it. I am going to be frank with you. You have no impact on me. Your presence on this board does not bother me in the least. So you banishing yourself from the board is of no value to me. I actually would prefer us both post here about football going forward and anyone who has a grudge or some frustrated feelings from the past, leave them there and get over them.

I also have no interest in being in a thread that allows me to make fun of someones team because that is of no interest to me. You never have seen me do it nor will you see me do it in the future. I did not make fun of your team this year. I asked a question that was posed to me by someone else about why so much attention was given to me here and if it had something to do with those owners having bad seasons.

Again, you do not bother me. I am sure you are a nice guy. I know how things can get out of control and silly or hostile on message boards (even though I never once in my life have been part of it, I have seen it.) How about we just put our focus back into and onto football and not the message board silliness that both Tom and now Greg have had to comment on as if they are policing the playground in elementary school recess.

By the way, you said "no matter how much better the tomatos have done then me in the NFFC in the past..." I have played in 4 NFFC leagues. I was high scorer in 3 of them and finished over .500 in the other. I think most would consider that pretty good.

I said this before ... you have NOT been just good in your NFFC event ... Lets be honest ... you've done great!

I also think your doing great again this year (as I repete myself). I would take your main event team and it's current position in a heart beat ... even over our main event team.

I don't understand your point. Did I miss something?

There are better ways to vent frustrations then mesage boards. Take Monk-E-mail for instance.

I hope a fantasy site can do text to voice trash talking soon.
