Who's Coming To The 2010 NFFC In Dallas?
This was the last venue to be finalized, but your patience in Dallas will be rewarded, I promise. We are hosting the Classic and Primetime drafts at the House of Blues in Dallas on Saturday, Sept. 5th. Both drafts will be held in the Lone Star Room, starting at noon CST for the Classic and 5 pm CST for the Primetime. We don't have any Friday events planned yet, but if the demand is there for an Auction League or a Draft Champions League I'll host it.
Here's a little info on our host site if you're not familiar with it:
"House of Blues Dallas opened in 2007 in the historic White Swan Building at the crossroads of Dallas' West End and the newly established Victory Park development. The building dates back to the 1920's when it housed a White Swan Coffee processing plant. Home to unique pieces of art such as Alan Sainte James Boudrot's "A Dream Come True" and S. Guion's painting of Robert Johnson, this unique and history–rich building continues to celebrate and showcase art and music. In keeping with tradition, the House of Blues Dallas displays the "Crazy Quilt" and keeps a metal box of mud from the Delta Mississippi underneath its stage."
House of Blues is located at 2200 N. Lamar Street in Dallas. For more information, call 214-978-BLUE or go to:

We don't have a host hotel yet, but if someone in the area knows of a good location let me know and I'll see if we can get a room block set aside. We may also try to get together on Friday night for an informal NFFC gathering as well and talk football before getting down to the nitty gritty the next day. We'd likely do that in the area of the host hotel and House of Blues.
Anyway, it's time to create an official signup thread for Dallas and use this thread to welcome all of the new signups. Let's get it rockin' in Dallas and fill up these leagues. Here's the official signup list to date:

We're glad to welcome Donald Flahart of Grand Prairie, Texas to the NFFC Classic in Dallas as Don is among our newest members of the growing NFFC family. Don has been a CDM/Fanball member and player the last few years and he jumped into the NFFC Classic after hearing about us coming to Dallas. Glad to have you on board Don and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for this year's $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're also happy to welcome for the first time to the NFFC Emil Kadlec of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Emil is the godfather of high-stakes fantasy football as he joined forces with Lenny Pappano in 2002 to form the WCOFF. The two of them ran the WCOFF for six years and now we're glad to welcome Emil to the other side of the table as a participant in the NFFC. Emil will be drafting in the NFFC Classic in Dallas at the House of Blues. Gotta love it. Emil is also the owner of Fantasy Sports Publications, Inc. and he currently has four magazines on national newsstands. Check 'em out. Welcome aboard Emil and best of luck in this 14-team format with 3RR/KDS, and good luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize. We're honored to have you on board.

We're also glad to welcome Stephen McCaleb of Norman, Oklahoma to the NFFC Classic at the House of Blues in Dallas on Saturday, Sept. 4th. I know Stephen was in the NFFC in the past, although he didn't compete last year. We're glad to have him back in 2010 and getting a venue closer to home likely helped in his return. Welcome aboard Stephen and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're going to send out a regional email to our lists tomorrow and push hard with some partners down there as well. I think this is going to be good fun at the House of Blues!! Thanks Texas Heat.

We added another new member to the growing NFFC family last night as Quintin Latin of Flint, Texas will be drafting in the NFFC Classic at the House of Blues in Dallas on Saturday, Sept. 4th. This is Quintin's first venture into the NFFC, but we're very glad to have him with us and participating in the Classic League. Welcome aboard Quintin and best of luck in the hunt for this year's $5,000 league prize and the $100,000 grand prize.

David Hubbard of Angleton, Texas competed in our NFFC Online Championship last year and he's a veteran of high-stakes drafts, and now we're glad to welcome him aboard in Dallas. David likes the proximity of this draft and is taking a team in both ends of the NFFC Main Event Doubleheader, drafting at the House of Blues on Saturday, Sept. 4th. We're glad to have David on board for the Draft Day Doubleheader and we wish him best of luck in the hunt for the $150,000 in grand prizes and the $8,000 in league prizes.
