Classic I went 7,6,5

Primetime 2,5,4

I stayed away from the back end of the draft in the classic because I really didn't like the 4th round options when drafting 11-14 and I didn't want to a chance on not having a great value falling to me.

In the primetime I just really like the way the first falls from the front to the early middle.

3 Rather interesting Chase because didn't Jeff's 3RR articles show a statistical shortfall for the number 10 pick?

"chase" if he needs an introduction here is Chase Stuart of FBG....and excellent writer and researcher. I will be very interested to see how he does in the NFFC this year. You guys in NY - say hello to him and be nice.

Okay, I just looked this up and for the 14 team Classic leagues

Teams with the "lowest value"
1) for the first eight rounds it is Team 12
2) after ten rounds it is Team 11
3) for the twelve rounds and beyond it is Team 10

....for the Primetime 12 teamers
1) for the first eight rounds it is Team 10
2) after ten rounds it is Team 9
3) for twelve rounds and beyond it is Team 8

In both cases (and in fact in all draft variations), the #1 pick still has the advantage - at least statistically speaking......BUT the advantage for each drafter with 3RR and KDS is not necessarily the value of the draft spot, but the comfort level with the anticipated picks at different spots.

I don't like 4 or 5. The guys I would have to take there are not my preference. Also don't like my 4th pick being the 56th pick when I didn't get a premier back in 1st.

1,2,3,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,14,13,5,4

As long as I get Larry Johnson so I can watch him donkey off my chances every week in both leagues like I did last year, then I know my season will be a success.

[/QUOTE]On average, I'm sure Jeff is correct. But this year I see about 10 super impact players, and about 20 high impact players. Getting one and one of those would be pretty sweet. I'll be curious to see how many people go DeAngelo/Steve Smith, an interesting combo that might be available to a guy in the 10 hole. Also, Brady/Moss might be available in that spot as well. Or Fitzgerald/Boldin in the 6 or 7 hole.

I think being at the 3 or 4 slot is awful this year. I feel bad for anyone who gets that (including me, if it's me!).

Being new to the NFFC, I did some research and after doing my homework I decided to go middle of the draft and then end of draft.

8-10 14-11 7-5 1-4

I did something similar for the Prime-time too. I like being at the end of the draft in a 12 teamer.
Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is.
