Well, Chicago is already shaping up as one of the most competitive cities in the NFFC. In the last day we've had Billy Wasosky, Wayne Ellis and Mike Ferre/Darryl Lechniak sign up for 3-4 events each here.
That's it. I quit. [/QUOTE]Throw your hat in the ring here Jack and I'll say nice things about you, too!! Heck, tell everyone how you have a chance to win the NFBC Auction Championship and then they'll fear you!! Keep it going in baseball, fight the good legal fight for the players in football, and join us at Trackside on Labor Day weekend. And then I'll see you the next weekend in Las Vegas.

Pretty sad really.
Sign ups seem down.
Fanball still has a bunch of information about the FFOC on it ... and the contest isn't even theirs or even running at this point. They have basically zilch about the NFFC on their site. I found ONE reference to the NFFC buried in the details.
I googled "High stakes fantasy football" and up came sites like the FFPC, wcoff, Fanball and a bunch of other sites I had never heard of. I was 4 or 5 pages in and still couldn't find the NFFC. I guess the Fanball is banking on the "word of mouth" to fill it's NFFC events!
Why would Fanball try to keep the NFFC a secret?
I find the whole thing weird. I thought Fanball would help promote the NFFC, not hide it.
Big Mike.

Sign ups seem down. We're on pace with where we were at a year ago at this time. And don't forget last year we started taking signups right after the 2008 season ended whereas this year the site was unveiled in mid-May. I believe the Online Championship numbers are ahead of pace but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Gerard and I are waiting to see what happens in some of these cities before we decide where to sign up. In talking to Greg last week, all of these cities are a GO regardless of numbers but it certainly makes a difference who and how many folks sign up in each city. A lot of folks may be doing that and then boom, all of a sudden 100 folks are signing up at one time.
Call me skeptic but I've done 2 drafts each in Vegas, Chicago, and Florida and if anything, the added cities and online options, as well as the economy and the baffoonS in D.C. we have trying to ruin it, have given folks more to think about before jumping in.

I agree Rick, and although I am not trying to be negative, I can't see more than one league for Dallas, Denver, and Minneapolis (two max for Buffalo and Boston).
This should make Chicago a SLAM DUNK for you and Gerard! Come join the fun!!!

Who's Coming To The 2010 NFFC In Chicago?
We have talked every week for the last 2 months about what we are going to do. As previously stated, we like to travel. But we also want to spend more money on leagues which has put the online option into play. This takes us back to the draft noise discussion on a previous thread.
Dallas having one or two leagues may be a plus. Chicago, Vegas, Online all in play here. As much as I hate to say it but I could hit the Powerball tonight and still would be on hold for another month.
Remember what I told Tom in an earlier thread, I'm tracking who's going where to take advantage of the best situation. He thinks every city is tough but he knows better. Having drafted with him in a Mag Auction, maybe he doesn't.
Chicago was not the place to go last year with Gerczak, Benetti, you, RC, Big Mike, etc. and not enough leagues to thin the competition. Vegas with 8 leagues last year was nice except for the Roger Goodell wannabes. This year, still waiting and watching and I may not be alone.
