Tom,
Last night in our satellite, we took Gore at pick 7 in round 1. After tonight, I'm starting to buy into the fact that Martz could make a big difference.
My question...we also took C Palmer with the 7th pick in rd 4. I know his stock has dropped a little since the Bengals seem like a mess and the WRs are banged up, but I thought that was excellent value. What do you think? Rich, I'm not Tom, but I think there is a chance for the Bengals to go off this year in the passing game. As much as I don't like Henry, when he gets in there, he makes their offense potent.

Add to it that they have real question marks at RB.

With that said, I think 4.07 is a little early for Palmer. I'd rather wait until the back of the 4th or Big Ben. I know if you let Palmer pass, neither of them make it back to you at the end of the 5th, however.

Just my $0.02.
i've done 2 Sat. drafts in the last 2 nites, and QB's are flying off the boards..i thinks it's because people aren't sure of who they want after 3-4 rounds,,so they just take a QB

My top 5 future NFFC cities in no particular order:

New Orleans
Atlantic City
Dallas
Denver
St. Louis I'll comment on these....

New Orleans- One of my top choices also, but hurricane season would always be a worry.

Atlantic City- No point in having another event only 2 hours from the other one.

Dallas- Definitely an option, but WCOFF tried it this year, and I don;t think it went over too well.

Denver- Great city, but I think it is a bit too close to Vegas.

St. Louis- Too close to Chicago.

My top 5 (other than one's you mentioned). In no particular order (assuming Vegas, Chicago, and NY were the "Big 3")....

1. Atlanta - Big city, big airport, and Buckhead is great!

2. San Antonio- The Riverwalk and Alamo might be enough of a draw. I heard it is beautiful there.

3. Memphis- Again, a fun city (Beale Street) and gambling only 1/2 hour away (Tunica).

4. Pittsburgh- Only because I lived there Truly is a great city!

5. San Diego- Card rooms, casinos, and beaches...works for me! :D
BW, my take was where I think they'd do as well or better. I also looked at it from a connecting-city perspective. I also looked at it from a rents perspective.

Memphis is tough to get to from many cities and very costly at that.

Same for SD and San Antonio.

Pittsburgh is how far from NYC?

I like most of your cities as well, just not what I could see working logistically.
San Antonio is beautiful. It reminds me of Indy. Indy has a beautiful canal, gambling, recreation and sight-seeing, etc.

San Antonio is beautiful!
I agree, and the point was that when you have one in the West, one in the Midwest, and one in the East, you pretty much have it covered with the exception of the south (and Florida isn't working as planned).

Atlanta and New Orleans would be the front runners IMO.

Pittsburgh is about a 6.5 hour drive from NYC.

KyT, with all due respect, Tampa was BORING last year. I'm hoping Orlando is better.

I think you'd get twice as many to ATL or NO than Miami. Miami is nice, but again, expensive to get to and stay.

i'm just thinking out loud, i really think it's going to be hard to meet expectations in the southeast because people care more about the SEC than the NFL. i'm sure the number crunchers with the NFFC know how many participants there are from each state. i think i may be the only one from KY. sometimes, you just gotta do what you gotta do!!

russ, while you're in orlando, don't let them sell you a condo.
