Who wants to bet the under and for how much?
Now who's talking?
John 148.5 is nearly 15 points per game over the last 10... I believe there are only 6 RB's in the NFL who are averaging over 15 points who have played every game.
Taking the under isn't a big stretch. I think 148 is a good number. I would sign for it and not be surprised if he went higher. [/QUOTE]13.5 but who's counting.

At a point per reception ... about 20 RB's should average at least 13.5 per game from here on out. It's a very fair bet if you like LT and think he is a top 20 RB.

Raiders,
You are right, I divided by 10, not 11.
I would take over 148.5 total points scores by LT from weeks 6-16. While there is no question he is on the backside of his great career, I believe he has enough left to put together a special season. The week 1 injury, in my opinion, had nothing to do with breaking down or being "finished" as many seem to be saying now.
I read countless places last week that R. Mendenhall was an absolute bust and that Mewelde Moore is the more talented RB on the team. I seriously read that about arguably the most talented RB to come out of the NFL draft a couple years ago as compared to a guy who was barely hanging on for a job in the league. Media hype can play tricks on people.

I won't wager here either, but I would set the over/under at 120 and still go under.
Looking at LT on the sidelines and in interviews, not only has he lost that step on the field, I feel that he has lost his fire and passion for playing football.
Renman, your opinion is that LT will be one of the best five backs in football over the last 10 weeks. My opinion is that LT retires after this year.

To be honest, I think I could have done 135.5 but I wanted a bet, I feel that strong LT does put up these numbers. 40 catches=40 points(3.6 per game),200 yards 5 yards a catch= 20 points,
50 yards a game=55 points,6 TD's =36 points. That equals 151 points. I say LT does better than that.
To me money speaks. It should be Fun. Alex is winning right now. That's why the under is the bet (Most) times.

Renman, your opinion is that LT will be one of the best five backs in football over the last 10 weeks. My opinion is that LT retires after this year. You might even be right that he retires after this year. That has nothing to do with my feeling that even with what little bit he may have lost he still had enough left to be a top 5 scoring RB in fantasy THIS year. Keep in mind how few RB's are playing now and not sharing much of the load. Had LT not had his ankle rolled up on I believe he would be the primary back, getting 15+ carries per game, 3-5 receptions per game, and all the goaline work on a team with a dynamic offense, with a poor defense that puts them in shootouts, who plays a pretty light schedule (no one expected Denver to be good defensively).
80% of what LT used to be (and I don't think he lost that much) is still enough in todays fantasy environment to be a top 5 scoring RB when so few RB's own the job outright. It is pretty clear that Sproles and his 2 yards per carry isn't more than a change of pace back who can be used IF they can get him in space along with being a great return guy.
My overall point is about those who tout how "right" they were about LT being "done" while basing it on a contact based football injury could have happened to Forte, Jones Drew, A. Peterson, Gore (wait, it did), Felix Jones (wait, it did), Pierre Thomas (wait, it did), Knowshon Moreno (wait, it did)and any number of RB's who are younger and not in the "he is finished/done" catetgory.
That is my basic point.

I'm not sure LT is at 80% of his former self. He looks more like 30% based on the two games he's played this season. We'll see if the bye does him any good.

Look at LT's body language in the next game he plays. On the field and off. You're opining that he hasn't lost much. Look at the body language. He KNOWS that he has lost a step. He knows that he is not a man among boys anymore.
I loved watching LT. LT loved being LT. Now, he is Edgerin James without Joseph Addai to push him. He can stick around like James or Emmitt and play it out. But, I go back to that body language and feel that the inner pride won't let him.
