High Stakes: Do you play in high stakes events?
Leagues: How many leagues do you compete in each year? Without a 3RR format, my KDS preference would have been 4 or 5, to be at the drop-off of the top five backs (my drop-off is at 5, at least). With 3RR, it matters less to me. I actually like being towards the back of the first round and being willing to take a WR, with a full point PPR system, and get two strong receivers in my top three.
High Stakes: I'm in the NFBC this year (and probably will always do that), but I'm not in any of the high-stakes football contests this year, due to schedule conflicts.
Number of Leagues: 10-15 - still on the fence for a couple of leagues.

What are your thoughts on the QB position this year Jeff? In our KP2 Experts League draft you held off on the position, taking Garrard late (110th overall) and then taking Leinart and Warner. Is that your philosophy - to hold off - or was that a case of QBs being taken sooner than you liked so you decided to wait?

I am a little more sold on Young; it's hard not to be impressed with is 5.2 YPC last year. That's the nasty thing about dealing with the Shanahan RB shuffle - you can't ignore the components of the committee, because the results have the potential to end up being so good. Even Anthony Aldridge could potentially be a lottery ticket, if we get a little more definition. I'd say that Hall is draftable, but not a strong sleeper. It's helpful at least that they're listing Pittman at FB rather than RB on the team depth chart.
Putting a number on it, I'd put Young in the 20-25 range now among RB's.

RBBC: which duo offers the best potential this season?
Late round gems (1 each) : QB, RB, WR, TE
RBBC: The Jags' combo is probably the best, between MJD/Durable Fred, followed by Stewart/Williams in Carolina and Parker/Mendenhall in PIT.
Late Rounds:
QB - In the drafts that I've been in, Leinart is going awfully late, because of the threat of Warner. You might have to handcuff him with Warner (and normally I'm not a big fan of handcuffs, but I think it works here), but I think that their offense is worth investing in.
RB - Leon Washington/Ray Rice
WR - Kevin Walter
TE - Greg Olsen, Ben Utecht

Jeff,
A couple questions:
1. Rank, in order, your top 3 WR for this year.
2. How do you think Clinton Portis will fare this year?

Normally I'm willing to play the wait-on-the-quarterbacks game, and I did that in KP2 in part because of my draft position. Selecting 11th, both Brady and Manning went in the first round, and others going a little earlier than I would have liked. That said, there's some value in going earlier than usual on QB's, if you get one of the top 7-8. After that, you might as well wait late, because the difference between #9 and #16 is pretty negligible.

Let's say LT doesn't finish No. 1 among RBs this year. And let's say Adrian Peterson doesn't either. Who would be your pick to surprise and claim the top spot?

Portis:
I think if last year's trend of being involved more in the passing game holds, he'll do reasonably well in this contest, with the .5 per reception. I'd be worried some about the drop in YPC, but that offensive line was ravaged by injury last year. We're projecting 1500+ total yards and 10+ TD's.

I would take him over Peterson anyhow. His durability is questionable, but then again, when doesn't a running back have durability concerns?

Any concerns about all the time Peyton Manning might miss in training camp?
