You got LT (who looks good tonight thus far), and you pull him on 3rd down and goal to RUN the ball with Sproles???

I woulda rolled Rivers out to pass, but if you are gonna run, WHY run UP THE MIDDLE with the littlest guy on the field???

Yeah LT is looking pretty decent so far. I sure could use a good LT down the stretch since I have him on my Primetime team this year.

They tried that crapola play against the Ravens a week or 2 back inside the 5 and it failed then too! Get a clue!

LT looked good to me. 110 total yards while being poorly used against one of the best playing defenses in the NFL. Aside from that blunder of not using him on the goaline, how about only screening to him twice? How about almost never running out of a 3 or 4 wide spread formation (like they used to do all the time)? How about Rivers missing LT for an easy TD late in the game?

I thought LT showed bust and vision... Should be interesting to see what comes over the next few weeks...

While LT may have looked a little better than the first few weeks he is a shell of his former self. Now it's a case of him being used poorly? Perhaps the Chargers staff, you know, the guys that do this for a living, know what he has become. Even Gruden commented during the game that LT has lost a step. As much as they wanted him to do well it just didn't happen. He's not part of the passing game, they didn't run him like they would in the past with the lead, and they even took him out at the goalline. What game are you watching?

Before Denver called a Time Out, LT was in there. Than the TO, than hey lets try to fool them. I do get the play, it didn't work. Who thought that SD was going to run with Sproles in there? Be honest. ;)

LT, looked Good against a Good run Def. enough said, I was happy what I saw. Not to add but I will anyway, everyone see's something, we all can be right. :D

I thought LT showed bust and vision... Should be interesting to see what comes over the next few weeks... I guess it's all perception. I saw a very average back. To tell the truth, average is more than I expected.
Someone said all of these coaches and scouts have to be right, otherwise LT wouldn't be in uniform, then these highly informed coaches and scouts do not use LT properly. Right then, wrong now? I'm confused.
Alge? Braylon? Knowshon?
C'mon parents!

Here are some names for football players.
Yes, he was in there and THEY TOOK HIM OUT. His effort at the goalline the rest of the game was mediocre. If that was a first round rb you saw then we do see things very differently.
4D,

Numerous industry "experts" today touted how good LT looked last night (which is not overly relevant to me since I judge it by what I saw myself). They never had a "run out the clock" type of lead so I am not sure how they could be expected to "run him how they used to." Norv Turner explained why LT was out on the goaline on that ONE 3rd down play that got all the attention and it had nothing to do with the staff not believing in LT.

He showed good vision and burst against one of the best playing defenses in the NFL. Gruden thinks LT lost a step? wow.. who knew? I think LT lost a step. I think he may have lost 3 steps. But 75% of what LT was, in the 2009 fantasy football world where SO FEW RB's can be counted on to produce, is fine with me. I argued that LT will finish as a top 10 (and closer to top 5 in my opinion) RB from weeks 6 to 16.

I stand by that claim and expect him to produce going forward.

Doughboys,

I never said we cannot question decisions the coaches make in NFL games. If we couldn't do that what fun would any of this be? My previous point (that you referenced) is that NFL player evaluation experts, whose careers are on the line based on team performance, who have access to miles of game and practice film, private medical reports, all OTA's, an mini-camp activities, and pre season games with multiple camera angles of film... are not going to enter an NFL season with a RB who is "clearly broken down and done" (as some typical fans like to outline it) with no viable backup on a win now team in a win no league.

Having said that.. I am sure we can identify numerous places where coaches used players poorly.. from Steve Smith's limited targets, to the Eagles never running the ball vs the raiders and not using Westbrook properly, to LT not being used as well as he could have been, to Washington not running more shorts passes or WR screens to the Santana Moss when their offense was struggling so much...

It happens all the time.

LT looked good to me... not immortal like in the past.. but very good. I look forward to the next few games for him.
