New League Idea Best of Best WCOFF vs. NFFC

All,

I had an idea that I think would be fun for a league. A best of the best so to speak.

The league setup goes like this:

7 from WCOFF, 7 from NFFC
$200 per team
DC format using NFFC scoring, 3RR, and KDS.

The catch is that it is also a total points league from each event. Meaning, we add the total points from all NFFC teammates and compare it to the total points from all WCOFF teammates.

The "Team" with the most points wins!

The winning team is the only one who gets paid!!!

Proposed payouts are as follows to the winning team scoring from highest to lowest:

Highest scorer on winning team $750
2nd $500
3rd $400
4th $300
5th $250
6th and 7th $200 or their money back.

If Greg wants to facilitate this, that is fine. However, I am happy to facilitate this on my site since it is a combo league. I'd prefer to sponsor it on my site and if so I will be happy to post the updates weekly on both MBs.

We would use MDC for the draft and MFL to host the league.

Obviously, each event would have to choose their team as they saw fit. I would want to participate for the NFFC team as this is my event of choice this year.

Does this sound like something anyone would have interest in? If there was enough interest, we could do multiple leagues of this type.

Greg, your thoughts?

THIS IS GREAT IDEA. HOWEVER WHY ARE YOU MAKING IT NFFC RULLES VS WCOFF. NOT SAYING THEY SHOULD BE WCOFF RULES EITHER BUT I THINK YO HAVE TO HAVE A HAPPY MEDIUM. MAYBE A 12 TEAM BUT USING 3RR. OR 14 TEAM LEAGUE BUT USING WCOFF SCORING. I DON'T KNOW BUT TO PUT ALL THE RULES IN THE NFFC FORMAT DOESN'T SEEM FAIR.

I think a 14 teamer using WCOFF scoring is a happy medium. Ofcourse using 3RR and KDS.

I understand there are a lot of crossover players playing both events, but if you were on the team, you'd have to choose one or the other for this league.

This is more about a friendly competition and fun for all. All in the spirit of promoting both leagues!

YEAH OVERALL I THINK WE CAN COME TO SOME TYPE OF AGREEMENT. I KNOW THE SCORING IS BASICALLY MIRRORED. HOWEVER IF YOU ARE PUTTINF THE WCOFF VS THE NFFC I THINK YOU HAVE MEET HALFWAY WITH BOTH RULES AND FORMATS. THIS IS OPINION.

1)3RR AND KDS STAY IN PLACE
2)12 TEAMS LEAGUES
3)WCOFF SCORING (EVEN THOUGH THAT'S BASICALLY LIKE NFFC)
4)ALTERNATING PICKS DURING THE DRAFT. MEANING TWO WCOFF TEAMS OR NFFC TEAMS COULD NOT DRAFT BACK TO BACK. I KNOW THAT SKEWS THE KDS BUT I THINK THAT WOULD KEEP THINGS EQUAL.

I THINK THESE THREE ITEMS MEET BOTH LEAGUES HALFWAY. I HAVE NOT THOUGHT OF ANYTHING ELSE. YES INDEED IT WOULD BE A GREAT EXPERIENCE.

Greg/Tom and Jesse/Dustin should each get to pick their teams and they should each play too.

KDS would not be necessary as these two team captains (Jesse and Greg) would choose the slots for their members. Each team captains would select their other 5 members and then they would go at it.

A coin toss would determine who gets:

1,3,5,7,9,11, and 13

or

2,4,6,8,10,12,and 14

3RR would be used.

WCOFF scoring would be used since there would be 14 teams and the use of 3RR.
