I do not have him.. but there was logic (if you had an option) to bench him. His offense is inconsistent... He is coming off a no catch game (though I believe usually guys coming off games like that get fed lots of balls).. he was facing a defense that has shut down #1 wideouts all year (Steve Smiths 1 for 9 game cost me my league title)...
Did anyone bench him and have to watch him have a huge night?
Anyone bench Vincent Jackson ?

In the nbc 8 were on the bench and 3or 4 had him in.I actually had him benched last week for Scaife and Scaife wasnt much better[1.8]It seemed like Crumpler was getting more look's on thanksgiving so he need's to prove himself again. Also thinking Gaffney with Welker hurt and playing a bad Seattle pass defense.
NFBC (NY) auction league champion!

Yeah I benched him in the WCOFF championship round. I played him last week and picked up the zero. Obviously every point counts, so I'd be lying if I wasn't a little mad today.
I decided to go with Steve Breaston this week over Vincent Jackson. Of course you can bet he will get zero...so if you own him, bench him this week.

I think those who benched him made the right move at the time. Jackson had been a complete non-factor in recent games, Rivers was struggling and had a poor track record against Oakland and the Raiders' pass defense had been playing very well.
In terms of the matchup, sitting Jackson was the prudent move - especially in this critical playoff week.
It sucks for those owners who did sit him and see all those points on the bench. I know, I've been there. I'm sure we all have at one time or another. But there are some moves that I think are open to question and those are the ones I tend to agonize over. But when I make the right call (supported by a strong amount of evidence as I posted above) and it doesn't work out right, I try not to beat myself up over it. That isn't always easy but it's the best way to keep my sanity in this crazy game.

I should add that it's much easier said than done not beating yourself up over a move that doesn't work out. I sat Mark Clayton in my main league last week because I was concerned about the back injury he suffered in practice on Friday. I loved his matchup and believed he'd do well but I got scared off by the back injury.
Ooops.
Ooops.

I must admit I didn't even think twice about benching Jackson this week especially after how pathetic Rivers and Jackson were last week.
Heck no one knows how a player will do in a given week....we can project all we want but we have no say at all in how that guy performs.
Anyways thanks for the advice Tom Here's hoping my Bears beat the crap out of the Jaguars on sunday.

Anyone bench Vincent Jackson ?
If he had played Sunday and MB3 didn't go I might have played him as my flex but I have 3 better receivers. It sucks that I don't get his points though.

Vincent Jackson got me yesterday. Albeit, it was in the WCOFF Consolation round but his number would have moved me into second place.
I have Marshawn Lynch, Deangelo Williams, Brandon Jacobs, Pierre Thomas at running back
My receivers are Terrell Owens, Steve Smith(car), Hines Ward, Kevin Walter.
Cant play them all, and Vincent has been so hit or miss. Sure wish I could take those points right about now.
