Man, if the wheels finally fall of Michael Turner after all those carries the past few years and off-season groin surgery... how much will ATL air it out with such a dropoff to Snelling and Ryan having a new toy (Julio)? :D

Ryan's stat line last year of 3705/28/9 would seem to be his absolute floor this year. The addition of Jones and another year of experience for Ryan would already boost him to 4000/30 range, IMO. If Turner doesn't play 16 games, this could jump to 4500/34 range, with a league-high 12 indoor games this season.

I would gladly draft Roddy (1st), Ryan (6-7th) Juio (6-7th), Gonzo (8th) this year and they can all be had if you have a 7-14 pick. Pick correctly in rounds 2-5 and you could be hoisting a trophy and cashing one of them big checks.

Good luck getting Ryan that late Rob! :D Current NFFC ADP is 60 (early round 5 in 14 team league).

And then there's the Shanahan Factor. He never saw a backfield he didn't love to muck with. Hightower is definitely a value play right now (ADP of 161.19) but can Shanahan be trusted not to mess around with things even if they are working? I'm not so sure.

I am not basing my high ranking off of tonights game, VJax is a difference maker and I would gladly take him anywhere in the second round. He is a top 5-6 wr in my book and I stand by my claim that matching him with any of the top 5 RBs would be as good a start as possible this year. I'm with you Rob. I've been all over him for months. I love VJax this season. Ton of potential with him back for a full season. Rivers loves to throw the deep ball and Jackson can get deep as well as anyone. In his last (nearly) full season, he caught five passes or more in 10 games, had seven 100-yard receiving games and scored nine times. There's every reason to believe he can duplicate or exceed those numbers.
Jackson missed the first 10 games of the season because he was unhappy with his contract. Once he returned he suffered a leg injury right away and missed a few more games. Finally in week 15 he put up the type of game he is capable of (5 Rec for 112 yards and 3 TD) but 2010 is pretty much a wasted season. He didn’t make any noise in the other games he played in. After a breakout 2009 season, V-Jax was all set up for a huge year in 2010 playing on a team with an elite QB (Rivers) and high scoring offense. He decided to call GM A.J Smith’s bluff and it backfired because the offense was really good even without him. He was “franchise tagged” this offseason. I expect him to come in motivated and ready to put up elite numbers so he can get paid. V-Jax has great size (6-5 230) which makes him a great red zone threat. I would expect around 70 receptions and double digit TDs from him this year.
...so, 70 receptions and 10 TD's will make VJ an overall top 4 or 5 wideout this season?...nah, don't think so, man...
I never said those numbers will eaqual top 5, but if it's closer to 80 Rec and add in 1200 yards, then yes, is all I'm saying.
...classic forked-tounged, double-speak - I love it!... ;)
It's OK, I will let you take him in the 2nd Rd. Unless of course you decide you want to take that stud TE there? ;)
nah, you got it all wrong as I will be taking my stud QB (not telling ya who ) in the 2nd and then my stud TE (targeting Finley) in the 3rd...depending on my draft slot, I'm going either RB or WR in the 1st...you can have your VJax meal served to you on a silver lightning-bolt plate if ya like, man...
Aaron Rodgers and Finley is fine, but I don't think you will find the Rb's you are targeting still there in the 4th and 5th Rds
Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is.

My thoughts on the Packers-Browns game:

Packers
Nothing new to report. The Packers are really good offensively. Rodgers is a stud. Jennings is a stud. Driver is still massively undervalued. I thought Grant looked good. Starks was fine. Finley didn't play. I wasn't all that impressed with Matt Flynn, though. He made a lot of poor throws. Lot of hype around Randall Cobb. Talent is there but he looks real raw which is to be expected.

Colts
Colt McCoy looked damn good. No other way around it. He was poised in the pocket and made great decisions. It was only a preseason game but he was impressive. Hillis was active as expected. Didn't Ben Watson prove last season he was a very viable TE? So why is he still massively undervalued? He looked great last night. Lot of faces at WR for the Browns but nobody really stood out to me.
