Leinart Done?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Arizona Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt says he will start Derek Anderson Saturday night when the Cardinals visit the Chicago Bears for their third preseason game.

Anderson was told Thursday morning that he would be working with the first-team offense.

Whisenhunt says Anderson will work in the first quarter and that Matt Leinart will enter the game. The coach says it's a flip of how they played the quarterbacks in Monday night's 24-10 loss at Tennessee.

Asked what he's looking for with the change, Whisenhunt says, "First downs."

Leinart, the 10th overall pick in the 2006 draft, started for Arizona Monday and went three-and-out in all three of his series.

Weak arm and was very predictable horrible draft pick.

He played in a system that was perfect for his game (masked his weaknesses), and then he doesn't care enough to work hard to achieve his potential.

WOW....now Ken Whisenhunt is overreacting to sloppy play in the preaseason? <----a few will "get this"

The first down comment made me laugh.....reminds me when John McKay was asked about the Bucs execution....he responded, "I'm in favor of it." Classic.

Amazing it's taken this long for people to finally realize how bad Matt Leinart is....he's not an NFL QB, he's barely a practice squad guy.

The sad thing for the Cardinals is that while Leinart sucks I'm not sure Anderson is much of an upgrade. A minor one perhaps but not a sizeable one.

That passing game is in huge trouble. No Warner. No Boldin. No chance.

He left his best game in the hot tub with the USC cheerleaders.

Funny how some people on this board (?) place no value on preseason games. Obviously Whisenhunt doesn't visit here often!!!
